Baffles me why so many people feed off seeing themselves as victims.

We had a great win. Turned it around. Great adrenaline. Isn't that enough?

At best, the UEFA/media/establishment conspiracy agenda is beyond tedious. At worst it's self pity and paranoia on a pathological scale.

He could have said also that in his OPINION they were not.
Then there would have been more pressing on the subject and trying to push him into saying things he didn’t want to By taking the line he did then it was the end of the subject

After a very bright opening 20 mins Sterling faded and was nowhere near his best. The match day thread was getting aggy and the majority wanted him pulled. Not me. As long as he’s on the pitch he can always flip a game.. he was similar against Arsenal a few weeks back.

It’s what seperates the good players from the great. He’s firmly planted in the great and walks into any team in Europe.

It was clear that all three pundits in the studio and Jenas on the highlight show totally disagreed with Walton they probably think he’s a twat

Anyone on that train to Düsseldorf last night. Heard it was carnage with the delay. As look would have it we couldn’t get on so they directed us to another that wasn’t advertised but got in before the scheduled. Piss poor performance from German Railways.

I absolutely love the fact that some are still arguing (debating) about the decision's tonight, YET WE STILL WON THE FECKIN' GAME! This is how far we've come lads!!!
The one obvious thing to come out of this debate is how people interpret the rules. Its certainly a split decision on whether they were or wern`t penalties.
However the one thing we should all agree on ,was that it was NOT a second booking for Oti,resulting in the sending off.

We would have been screaming for both pens if it had been the other way around.

Personally I think along with booing their stupid ditty, we should all start wearing yellow ribbons to the European games.

UEFA do not like us and that is the bottom line.
Exactly, so thumbing your nose at them (Uefa, EU, Spain) during games is a poor tactic. And why does Pep keep saying we are not ready to challenge for this title?

I'm far from convinced there is an organised agenda against us. I am convinced there is favouritism towards the likes of Madrid and Barca. That feeds into a sense of unfairness. A level playing field and reasonably consistent treatment and decisions towards all clubs would rid us of much of the conspiracy nonsense.

I thought it defo was a 2nd yellow offence the forward turned inside otta and was brought down ,

I think WWE wrestling is more legitimate than this CL shambles. Any tournament with a seeding system is also suspect, I would argue, including the tennis nonsense and the World Cup, the recent final of which, coincidentally, was ruined by a VAR mess. Real and Barca are almost assured of their QFs each year due to seeding and that is kind of where my utter mistrust of UEFA starts, Blatter aside. They always get into the CL, they will always be seeded in Pot 1, they tend to canter their groups, they get a home tie in the 2nd leg in the Round of 16, and so on. The QF financial guarantee is profoundly useful to them, for sure.

I'd prefer to win the PL all day long. The CL is like playing your cheating uncle at Monopoly. You've little or no chance of prevailing in the end.

Whether we would or wouldn't is irrelevant. VAR is used to overturn decisions where there has been a clear and obvious error.

If the on-field ref gives a corner, as he did last night, VAR should not overturn, because it wasn't a clear and obvious error.

If the on-field ref had given a penalty, VAR should not overturn, because it wouldn't have been a clear and obvious error.

Nobody in the World of football thinks VAR is going to solve everything but if it is implemented and used as agreed, most football fans will come to terms with it and its flaws. However if, as last night, VAR is used where the rules that UEFA have set out, are completely ignored, the debate will rage on.

Because you can be off fucking side and not be committing an offence and that has been true for a twatting decade.

Aye, but if you are offside, and preventing a defender from getting where he want to go (touching an opposition player, gaining an advantage) you have committed an offence.

Love this picture from last night:
