Normally do this later during the close season where I try & predict who might be considered in the next scholarship Intake but I was feeling a bit bored. Might not have the names completely correct or in their actual playing positions but here goes:- Goalies. - Ferran Doran, ?????? Griggs/. Lucas Alvarez. Defenders - Dante Hadley, Charlie Holt, Archie Thornton, Marlow Barrett. Midfield. - Tyrese Noubissie, Floyd Samba, Finley Gorman, William Gueke. Forwards. - Timeo Whisker, Teddie Lamb, Xavier Parker, Tristan Achu.

Here is what I believe to be next season's intake with a bit more detail on certain players. I picked up alot of the information after reviewing the following forums and website:. Transfermarkt, Fab Romano, Secret scout, big soccer forum.

Goalkeepers:
Farren Doran (has been sub for the U18's a few times/been on England U15 camp)
Finley Grigg (picked up from down south/sub for U18's a few times)
Ben Vickery (I believe we have recently signed this Scot U16 keeper from Hibs)
We do have have another keeper - Lucas Alvrado - who won best keeper at the 2024 KDB cup (Guatemala U17)
(I am not sure on him based on clips I have seen on You Tube as he is on the smaller side and as we have the 3 above including the lad from Hibs very recently))

Defenders:
Archie Thornton (CB) current England U16
Marlow Barrett (CB) current England U16 (signed from Coventry)
Dante Headley (RB) - has played a number of times for U18's this year
Jayden Lienou (LB) was down as part of last year's official intake but I don't think he has played or been sub for U18's
(signed from Everton)

Midfielders:
Tyrese Noubissie (CM) current France U16 , started against Newcastle at the wkend. (signed from Leicester city)
William Gueke (CM?) England U16, there has been a debate about his age(I think he has Cameroon heritage)
Man u also have a couple of similar players
Timeo Whisker (Winger) - (signed from Cardiff City)

Forwards:
Floyd Samba current England U16 (brother Tyrone part of last year's intake)
Euan Griffiths
Teddie Lamb (signed from Leyton Orient)

Other players who could also figure:
Stavros Engelberg - down as keeper on Transfermarkt but I don't think he is as he was a sub for an U18 game where Grigg or Doran were also on the bench.
Hamza Swed - forward on Transfermarkt from UAE.
Tristan Achu - midfielder?
Jacob Wain and Alfie Turley - not sure on position with these two.

Finally, as with last year, there could be some late additions to next year's U18's squad.
Last year it was Ryan McAidoo(Chelsea) and Harrison Miles (S'hampton) who did not take up contract offers at their clubs. This year the name which has been widely mentioned is Jeremy Monga who is at Leicester City. I note he played yesterdayfor the first team in the draw at Notts Forest. He is a winger with massive potential and I think he is about to turn 16. Has played for the U18'S and even the U21's as a 15 year old. I believe he has been put into the first team to up the compensation any club will have to pay.

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated.

Wait! We've got a group of players with the following first names: Tristan; Teddie; Timeo (Whisker!); Xavier; Marlow; Archie; Finley; Charlie; and Dante. Where are we getting them from, Eton? As ever, good luck to them all. And, if the football doesn't work out, there is always investment banking or venture capitalism to fall back on.

I know pretty much nothing about our young lads. Do we have big expectations on any of the lads at any level ?

At least one player will be dubbed, "The next [insert name here]" and many shall have their eyes on future EFL Tropy and League Cup dates.

A few mates said our U16s are giants in stature and learning their Pep ball religiously.

Yes Dante is the nephew of Ishmael Miller. His Mum told me when Dante was about 7 that Uncle Ishmael was his hero!
Ishmael was a quality youth forward. I often think how many players of that time could have benefitted from the CFA. Now we have it, there will be some top drawer players at league, for the club, etc

I remember poor Ishmael being shafted and hung out to dry by Pearce or Sven, brought on as sub at left back v Bolton

Jake signed today, he's a midfielder, very highly thought of apparently. Been at City since he was an embryo!!

“Twelve Academy players have signed scholarships with Manchester City ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Finlay Gorman, Finley Grigg, Dante Headley, Charlie Holt, Teddie Lamb, Milo Martin, Yohan Obin, Floyd Samba, Sam Wadsworth, Jacob Wain and Timeo Whisker, as well as Ben Vickery – subject to international clearance – make up the latest cohort to pen full-time agreements.”
