Manchester City are not guaranteed to get the pick of the best young players ... warned Louis van Gaal

Warned, warned! Think the word is "hopes"!

Tbf, he's dead right.

We are not guaranteed. We just have a much better chance, every year.

That will do for me.

Its the last straw to be clutched at isnt it.

"Yes yes they have an amazing academy and the infrastructure is incredibly impressive and I go to bed each evening dreaming of such scope of ambition being implemented at a club I am with...but it's not guarenteed!"

Bleating crying moaning cunts the lot of them.

Hope they enjoy 'still the biggest game in the country today' another lie they all cling onto.

It's the philosophy that's important, apparently.

"The building is not so important, the accommodation is not so important, it's the philosophy and the staff that's important''

Why didn't he mention that before?

All they've done since 2008 is dismiss us. And every time they've been proved hopelessly wrong. As they will again. Yet another opportunity to mock and deride their hubris. Fucking love it.
You know the "neighbors" are shitting in their pants when they get noisy

Too right. Remember baconface's rant after the 'Welcome to Manchester' poster? He couldn't shut up about us.

"It's City isn't it? They are a small club with a small mentality...All they can talk about is Manchester United; they can't get away from it.

Even funnier was this typical smoke and mirrors trick of trying to accuse us of the very same 'crime' he was committing. His unwitting reveal about the depth of their panic showed the guy had insight as we kindly ensured they proved themselves right the following season, and even more emphatically the one after that.

I know ghost writers are employed to put words of more than one syllable into the right order but assume the ginger pig approved them.

So tough titty, Scholesy-wolesy; your shitty club is now being challenged at every level. Take a sniff of our arses before they disappear over the horizon.

Jeez. In the US you are either a 'tool,' or a 'douchebag.' Scholes is both. A few questions though:

1. How is an Academy like City bad for The Scum and yet not for good for England. The better the training, coaching and facilities the chances are for better nationals. Right?

2. Scholes mentions for YEARS that United dominated City and that our Academy was shit. A Liverpool fan told me that City's Academy produced plenty of talent during the Paul Lake era.

3. What's wrong with a little competition? In a perfect world, every PL team would be allowed the same amount of cash to sign Academy players every year. But this isn't a perfect world, Scholes. Is it? But I am just a dumb Yank.

Scholes is deluded on 2 counts:

1) He implies that United have always had the better youth system, until the Sheikh put all this money in.
But in fact, traditionally City had a better youth system than United ... City brought far more youngsters through into football in the 70s and 80s, when United preferred largely to get their chequebook out (which they could always afford to do).
In fact, it was only when Ferguson arrived and (by his own admission) looked across at City's youth setup, realised it was light years ahead of United's, and made it his target to emulate it then overtake it, that things started to move toward United.
But even then, even in the 90s and 00s when City were regularly struggling in the lower divisions and had no money, City had some good youth teams and often beat United's.

2) His whole argument seems to be based on the assumption that there is clearly something wrong with United not having the best of everything ... asthough something must have gone wrong with the laws of Physics if United aren't having everything their own way. He seems affronted by the very notion that City might have facilities or opportunites better than United ... he's having difficulty getting over the idea, and 'warns' United that this unthinkable chain of events might be about to happen.

'Biased', 'blinkered' and 'short-sighted' are an understatement for this man.

Someone ought to tell him that the horse has seriously buggered off.
