Schooldays are the happiest days of your life.

Well said mate. Some of these blatant nonces need hunting down.

I got quite lucky in school. My dad decided to send me to a state school in a posh area away from the bad estate my mum grew up on, I can understand why. Never really fitted in with most of the kids. Especially as most my mates I played footy with left at 16 and I was one of the only kids in the year who got EMA payments (not sure if this is still a thing). Stood out a mile so just started skiving all my lessons and smoking and drinking, gone by 17.

Lucky in terms of bullying, but from knee high I'd always been taught to hit back x10 harder and never show you're afraid, even if you are. Something I've carried into adult life and what I'll teach my kids if I ever have them. Couple of isolated incidents with bigger kids but a left hook round the jaw or left roundhouse round the ribs did the trick; wasn't big enough to cause real damage but you know that look someone gives you when you've walloped them and they've never been hit like that before; no problems since. Always send your kids to boxing or kickboxing while they are still primary school age would be my advice, you learn discipline, how to punch above your weight, and to only use it when required.

The worst I had was my older brother was a bit of a gobshite and wouldn't be told anything by the teachers. So the first few weeks of a new year I'd get the "we've got our eye on you, you're his brother". They realised I was the nicer kid with the brains soon enough, but 2 or 3 teachers in particular were total twats for a while until they realised I was a softer more articulate kid. One in particular kept sending me out of his lessons accusing me of doing stuff I'd not done, he apologised after about a month of this targeting. A few in that school (not him) have previously and since lost jobs over inappropriate pupil relationships with young girls.

Had a history teacher who use to rest his bulge on the girls desks whilst talking to em, sweating profusely through his shirt the dirty bastard.

My eldest starts high school in a years time, he already knows to stick up for himself so I hope he will be alright, his chosen school looks worlds apart from mine the lucky git.

Yep, dirty horrible pervy ****, skinny little twat with a perm and porno 'tache. He used to stand in the doorway of the showers saying shit like "get that mud off your ankles" so he could perve. Never tried anything on with me because he knew I'd have had give him a good hiding. I thought he got sentenced to 6 years? I'm 59 btw. Was there 76 to 80.
He got away with a suspended sentence pal, disgusting, should have been jailed.

Disgusting indeed mate. But there was a few of them teaching. Stewart Hall was mate's with a few and he'd play 5 a side with us at Sids leisure club. I fuckin' hate nonces, Sexually messing with kids is the lowest of the low, IMO.

My Geography teacher Les Clitheroe died about 3 years ago. I found out there was lots of messages on the school FB page saying how nice and good a teacher he was. I wrote he was a cruel sadistic bully who made my school life hell and i was glad he was dead. He was also a scout for United, something i didn't know until a couple of years ago.

Wouldn’t happen now pal, had left an indelible mark on some people, won’t go into it too much but I’ve seen the effects which can be devastating.

Most probably, I know Crescent Road, used to go in the Lamb pub now and again back in the day, where was the school?

As an aside, an old sadly departed mate of mine organised a Sunday afternoon do upstairs at the Lamb. It was Strippers and Potato Pie for £2.50. We got the tickets and it said on it:

Lamb Inn
Ash and Gash for £2.50 cash.
The school was where the house's on Peel St are, just after Astley St on the left hand side

Blimey, my Mum worked in an Office right next to the Park Pub for over 30 years, I also dated a girl who lived on Park Road. You’re right, the hand pulled Boddies was a cracking pint, same as the Little Astley and the Wellington in Stalybridge. We run our unofficial supporters club from the Astley now, good beer at cheaply prices, couple who run it, Andy and Cheryl are big Blues.
My mates daughter used to run that about 15 years ago

They caught the IT man / Scout leader filming schoolgirls in the showers and let him off with a caution. Early 90’s.

Incomprehensible now.

The Pointsman wasn't a bad pint either.
