More a case of being scared of getting humiliated I think, going all out against Brazil would be a quick way to a 10-0 defeat!

Tell that to the fans making the 800 mile round trip, more embarrassing not trying tbh.2 corners and 1 free kick was the best they had and if they want to better themselves that aint the way to do it.

Charlie Adam goes missing in the big games. Big fish in small pond at Blackpool but failed on the 'big stage' at Rangers. That Brazil match shows why clubs should be wary before splashing out big money for him.

A contrast is Jack Wilshere, hyped for Arsenal in the Prem but actually got better when playing against the best team, Barca. Some players can make the step up (Wilshere) some can't (Adam).

Too bad we are still missing one of our best midfielders (Ganso, Neymar's team-mate - you could also argue Kaka), but today Menezes was continuing to experiment for his Copa America side.

Still do not believe Neymar is a fit for City, or the Premier League for that matter, unless he changes his game, which I don't see happening.

Someone creative like Neymar is EXACTLY what we need. Another Silva, attack minded, skillful, creative, pace, quick feet, works hard.......

£66m from Santos. If that's what it takes, that's what it takes. This sort of signing will push us into a serious top club (we aren't one yet) and he's not already a superstar, everything he does he will be remembered as doin with City. Like CRonaldo at United.

Weren't we supposed to have first refusal on this lad as part of the RobinhoKingOfManchester Shark Loan Deal?

It was only while he was on loan there, sort of a sweetner for us to loan him there for longer at our own cost then pay them £20 million for Neymar. Would be a deal if it made any sense

Who does that lucas play for he was quality, does he have a first name/surname. One more quick thing how many posts until i can make topics?

fake tan on kenny millers boat race...
Thought that in the interview afterwards, maybe that or the fact that the Scots get a tan off a lightbulb...

This Neymar kid looks good, reminds me of Robinho when he was at the top of his petulant game.

Sao Paulo meaning he's still up for grabs. Sadly, Real Madrid are after him and are one of the few teams who could outmuscle us for a player now. Rags also interested.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2011/02/19/2359332/sao-paulo-price-starlet-lucas-at-953-million-to-ward-off" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer ... o-ward-off</a>

€95.3 million (£80 million) price tag by Sao Paulo, PMSL.

That's nonsense from start to finish. Adam was playing out of position at rangers, stuck out on the wing.

Surely every game this season has been a big game for Blackpool? He hasn't done too badly there has he? And then you write him off because he didn't run the show for Scotland against Brazil.

Adam is no world beater, but there's a fuck load of snobbery going on when people talk about him.
