Has to surely be a no brainer to replace our Barry in England's midfield. Really hope Capello doesn't pick the out of form and ridiculously overrated Carrick.

Hargreaves for me if he stays fit but Parker is a great choice.

I like Carrick but he just doesn't dominate games his ability should allow him to.

Hargreaves is just an industrious runner, he can go and go but don't really need a headless chicken chasing things down in midfield. Need someone with some composure and authority once they are on the ball. Parker all the way, gutted when we missed out on the lad actually can see exactly why Hughes rated him so highly. A lot can be said about Hughes but he definately had an eye for a player.

Well if Capello was 100% true to his word lets be honest Parker would have been in ages ago, I heard on the radio today that Capello is going to check on Hargreaves fitness, who when he was last fit was a shoe in for England, and performing really well. But that scenario would still be harsh on Parker.

Good shout IMO, an inspiring and determined player and fiercely competitive. The goal he scored against Wigan to clinch the match with 13 minutes left, and his celebration summed him up for me.

Was it his fault though Roque has the most fucked up injury problems ever, so did Bellamy before he came here. Roque has just been unlucky and I think getting rid of Hughes's fitness coach has figured in his decline since Hughesy left after the sunderland game. Toure has started to look a lot more assured recently, you're just picking holes here. Hughes just had his scouting going for him really, now Marwood will be doing it all I'm a little bit dubious, although he did unearth johnson..... Still not a football manager and doesn't know how it'll come together on the pitch....

Stop changing the thread topic as well lol, its all about scott parker not anti hughes :P. He was at best an average manger i agree but he could spot a decent player was all I was saying mate.
