Scott Parker

Gareth Barry is the complete opposite to this guy, and there is a reason he has always been a guaranteed starter under anyone he has played for. He reads the game so well (which is just aswell because he has no pace or anything else to compensate) yet he provides a safe foundation to play off without any of the showmanship and fancy heroism because he never gets himself in that position in the first place. David Silva himself said that Barry was his player of the year as the game is so different when he is on the pitch.

Possibly the most overrated player in the history of football.

now you know why gaz baz gets picked ahead of him.
We all know it's the media and so called experts who don't, you would think he had played the French on his own after listening to the likes of Alan Mulery

It's hilarious he slides in wins the ball and they say great tackle but that slide in tackle the ball goes to the other team 8/10 times have to say him and Gerrard are poor

I thought Gerrard did OK, at least he can switch play, cross a ball and pick a pass in forward areas...I would love to know Parkers assist stats etc for his career compared to Barry's

It winds me up so much when people rave on and on about Scott Parker. Time and time again tonight he would make an aesthetically pleasing tackle, or block but yet 90% of the time, the situation was caused from him giving the ball away or being caught out of the position and if that was not the case, he would simply give the ball away straight after winning it by cracking it upfield or simply misplacing it. The amount of fuss and hype around about him is ridiculous as he is an atrocious player. I am a firm believer that a football game is won and lost in the middle of the park and there is a reason West Ham got relegated last year and he was at the center of it all and I think he still managed to pick up player of the year/season or something.

Could we be witnessing the first ever MotD defensive midfielder?

The commentator tonight only stopped short at sucking his stump............. don't rate him at all, what the fuck is all the fuss about

He's ok but Barry twice the player

-- Mon Jun 11, 2012 8:17 pm --

He's ok but Barry twice the player

I thought Gerrard played ok. One of the better players tonight. He is clearly passed it and is only playing because we have no better option but he played his part and picked out some good passes.
