Scott Sinclair

Re: Scott Sinclair coming good

I imagine I'm in the majority opinion here when I say I hope he comes good and becomes a useful squad member for us, i just doubt that'll happen. Happy for him to try and prove me wrong though!

Re: Scott Sinclair coming good

Navas, Negredo, Jovetic, Demichelis, Fernandinho, Fernando, Caballero, Sagna, and now almost certainly Mangala. That's the addition to this squad since Sinclair came. No really key players gone. How's this guy going to get a game? Honestly?

Competition for Sinclair's place (in terms of who Pelle has played as a winger):

David Silva, Samir Nasri, Jesus Navas, James Milner, Stefan Jovetic, Alex Kolarov, longer term Marcos Lopes.

He's not as good a player as the first four and you could argue that Kolarov is more useful winger for us to have on the pitch. Lopes will come back next year looking for a first team spot too.

He sigfned for us for £6m and if we could get that back for him I'd be delighted. He couldn't even get in the West Brom team.

By moving to a mid table club like Newcastle or the rags. Southampton probably looking for players too.

First of all, nice goal yesterday. Beautiful finish. Unfortunate for him, but even in the form of his life (which he's not in right now) he'd still struggle to even make the bench with the embarrassment of riches on our roster. Who are you going to take off the 18 to make room for him? Milner? No. Navas? No. Not even Garcia. for Scotts' sake I hope we sell him to a team he can play regularly for.

For some reason I think he'd be a good fit on a good, but not title contending team in the Bundesliga, or possibly Liege 1. Or even going the Dempsey/Defoe route and playing in a league like the MLS (not as a retirement tour ie beckham/lampard but as a player in/around their prime). He could be a star at NYCFC, or a guy who plays regularly on a team like Lyon/Werden Breeman, or a squad player who makes the odd appearance on a team like Spurs/Arsenal, or be a practice cone at a world-class team like City

Guess it all comes down to personal preference. would he rather be a big fish in a small pond, or a small fish in a big silverware winning pond?

I would gladly be a practice cone for City. Especially if it came with this....

Salary: 2.08 million GBP (2013)

and this....

Scott Sinclair believes he is finally back to being the player that City bought from Swansea.

The 25-year-old has endured a torrid two-year spell at City since his £6m move, suffering a blood clot that kept him out in 2013 before an injury-plagued loan spell at West Brom last season.

But the winger, who scored a superb goal against AC Milan in Pittsburgh on Sunday, is feeling back to his old self.

He said: "This is probably one of the best pre-season's I've had the minutes I'm getting now I haven't had that. I feel great, you can see it in the performances, I'm scoring goals, I'm getting back to my normal self how I was at Swansea."

Sinclair added: "Pre-season is probably the most important for any footballer to get those games and I feel great and hopefully now I can get more minutes and be ready for the season.

"As a player you've got to go through the tough times and the last 18 months has been a very very tough time for me, you know going on loan and getting injured and also having my blood clot the previous year so like I say all I can do is look forward, play what's in front of me and whenever I get the opportunity I've got to produce and get the goals whenever I can and just keep playing well."

Shop window? or has he been told he's sticking around?

To be fair,he hasn't looked too bad in the game time he's had,his confidence certainly appears to have improved.
