Fact is, he's going to Wembley.......We ain't. Fact is he scored a great goal yesterday. Well done lad.

Fact is he still isn't good enough.
If he had been givern the same number of minutes as Adam Johnson who he was a direct replacement for we fans could comment but he wasn't .he has been judged by what various managers have seen in training.

He wasn't given the same minutes because he's nowhere near as good as adam johnson, which says it all

He does not fit with City's slow build up play, he needs to play on counter attack.

Navas struggles too with City's slow possession play which doesn't really suit wingers.

He's doesn't fit at City because he is waaaay below the level required. He is also a very primitive player and is not intelligent enough to play in this team

The thing is, he played in a Swansea team that played very technical football and shone against a number of teams. Swansea have had a better pass completion rate over recent years than we have. Against the bottom 12 teams Scott Sinclair is plenty good enough to play in our team.

If you genuinely believe Scott Sinclair is good enough to play at any team challenging for the top honours then you really need to starting watching a different sport. This forum is always full of hysterical reactions but this is one of the biggest.

Yeah, I don't think he was as bad as some people were suggesting, in the sense that it's not a massive handicap to have him on the pitch, especially against weaker opposition. But let's not pretend that before he went to Villa, he was on loan at West Brom, and couldn't even get in their team (played 8 games during a season-long loan). So he clearly wasn't doing enough to get in our team when he was here.

As for him being forced on us, I definitely get the impression that he was bought purely to fulfill the homegrown quota. Obviously you buy someone who you think might come good, but I don't think he was a player we'd been scouting for months and decided we absolutely had to get him in because he was the next big thing. But then I don't work for the club, so maybe he was. But the fact is that he's already 25. If he was going to be a world class winger (or even one capable of getting into our first team regularly), we'd know by now.

Im glad hes doing well and scoring a few goals for them, it might mean we can actually get rid of him this summer, unlike last year when he couldnt even get into West Broms side.

Some fucking idiot at our club did and spunked the best part of £15m on him when wages are taken into account.

Well it was either Marwood or Mancini and neither of them have anything to do with our transfers now. Hopefully the horror story that is Scott Sinclair will be over soon.

Can't believe it was Mancini as he never gave him a sniff.

This horror story may be coming to an end but one is still very much scaring people when he steps on the pitch. Wonder if we sell Sinclair we can market it as a Bogof offer with Fermando.

Pretty similar to Boateng, Maicon and Savic's treatment, got a few chances and then into the wilderness.

Correct and like someone said, not even as good as Adam johnson !

Good player but not good enough for topteams. He should stay away from topteams and be a good player wherever he ends up. He should know his limitations by now...

He got enough minutes for me to realise that he's really shit, although I'd already seen he was shit before hand

When we were signing him I was stating how shit he was and was told that we'd get our money back on him anyway as even if he flops we'll get about 6 million back for him. 3 million quid a year plus the 6 million fee for someone who was obviously never gonna be anything but a complete no hoper is depressing

Spooned one over the bar from 6 yards out yesterday. Is he still our potential saviour or is that gabby agbonlahor now he's scored a couple for villa too?

Regardless.......He had another decent game though didn't he?

with respect to Villa and Sunderland to that matter .... one of those inflatable dummies would have defended better.

and respect to Villa again, their team is a different kettle of fish than ours. Everyone is hyping him cos we arent playing well, when we were, Sinclair had no chance.

I'm in no way advocating Sinclair as some sort of saviour.......however,the ridicule and criticism he has received on here has been way over the top.He was a decent player for Swansea and probably worth every penny of his price tag........so while he was never in a million years going to be a regular first teamer, the occasional start against lesser opposition would not have been amiss.

I accept to play your best you need regular game time, now he is receiving such, the confidence has returned and that decent player has re-emerged.
