The waterboys and Cocteau twins - good call ! Don't know if these have been posted cos I am too impatient to play all the YouTube clips (and it gets very boring) but would like to add The Associates, Aztec Camera , Orange Juice, The skids and pay homage to early Simple Minds as they were innovative and had a strong sound.

josef k is a great shout. the postcard era of orange juice and aztec camera was the highlight for me. teenage fanclub were underrated in my opinion also.
