Hibs beaten on penalties by the Mighty Greenock Morton.
Falkirk need a point from their last tie to finish above them.

Motherwell getting beat 1 nil against Sligo Rovers,2 nil on Aggregate in the Europa conference league qualifiers.

Sligo now two-nil up on the night, three-nil up on aggregate and it's in stoppage time.

Update: Finished 2-0 (3-0), bit of a surprise as I thought Scottish Prem would be a higher standard than League of Ireland. Or was it just a couple of off-days for Motherwell?

I just think Irish football has improved.

Good start to the season by the mighty Binos in the League Cup -apart from the 5:0 defeat by Aberdeen. Hopefully we’ll have a great season and promotion.
On 24/07/1997 Stirling Albion played Manchester City - it was either a pre-season friendly or the European Cup Final (dementia or a senior moment) - and it ended 0:0. Huge crowd of 1518 - that is huge for the Binos!! I wasn’t there as I was then living in Manchester.
The City team was - Margetson, Brightwell, Edgehill, D Morley, Vaughan, Summerbee, Crooks, Heaney, Horlock, Clough and Dickov.
Story of my life. Watched the Binos all of my young life until 1984 when I moved to Manchester. Watched City until 2007 until I moved to Somerset. Missed out on all the triumphs for City ( and the Binos!!) as a supporter watching them live.

In the last three ties between League of Ireland and SPFL teams in Europe, the Irish team has come out on top. All have been since the year 2000
Just shows you the standard the Old Firm are up against week in week out
