I do not know what to make of Celtic.
Rangers were poor yesterday as were Celtic in the first half.
Then Celtic missed a lot of chances to finish the game off.
Looks like they will win the league by some distance but their European performances were poor.
The league is a poor standard overall and Rangers have got a lot worse since their league title win.
The empty seats in the Rangers end before the match finished was something I have never noticed before in an Old Firm match with only one goal separating the teams.
Looking like an average season at best for the SPL.

Wins for Hearts,Hibs,Rangers.Motherwell and Aberdeen.
Motherwell the only team in the relegation battle to win.

Since their defeat in the Edinburgh derby, the league one, Hibs are unbeaten and have now taken 14 of 18 points. They next travel to Livingston before consecutive games against the Old Firm.
I have a Hibs supporting mate who tells me they are much more solid with CJ Egan Riley in their ranks and he is playing very well.

He’s been used at right back and centre midfield, so with such versatility he should get game time, which is what he and Kompany will want. Hibs now face Rangers and then Celtic, so that will test him and them more.

Have Celtic developed a bit of a phobia about St Mirren*? They're the only team they've lost to so far this season, and they're behind again today.

*Cue 4 Celtic goals by the end of the game!

Postecoglou has the Scottish game sussed. He sends his team out to beat the rubbish in front of them. Which is what they do. But they still basically can’t beat anybody from outwith Scotland. So in summing up. Celtic are not very good, but a bit better than us.

St Mirren match up pretty well against Celtic, because we don't really have to change the way we play against them. It's always about staying organised, conceding possession, keeping shape, then a sudden press to try and win the ball and launch a quick direct breaks.

Doubt we'll hold on with 10-men though, will end up being 3 or 4 in the second half.

I’ll cut him some slack. He won 6 of his 14 games last season and was in a tough CL group this season; we’ve still got work to do to get by RB Leipzig and most on here wouldn‘t fancy our chances if drawn against Real Madrid. Assuming Crltic make the CL again next season, they’ll have to be looking to get third spot as a mark of progress, but that spot can often be in the lap of the gods depending on who else is in the group and how the fixtures fall.

More generally, the game in Scotland is still too helper-skelter, and fans are still too impatient for the ball to go forward at every opportunity, even if it means their team is out of shape and possession is conceded. Fans have embraced a degree of playing it out from the back, but when playing in Europe, there needs to be far more patience and far more possession, and that’s true for all Scottish clubs.
