Scottish Championship lining up nicely, with Queen’s Park hosting Dundee in the final round of fixtures on Friday night. The Spiders sit second but a win would see them leapfrog Dundee and win the title, which could yet throw up the prospect of the Dundee teams facing each other in the playoffs.

Queens rise is rather impressive, Leeane Dempster seems to have a magic touch. Would love have a new ground to visit. Though can’t beat a trip to Dens, just for the mince in a roll in the pub. Gourmet.

Yes, it's been meteoric, though as I've mentioned before, I'd prefer them to have another season in the Championship in their new ground and to generate a fanbase. Their nomadic seasons mean we have no idea as to whether their support has improved to match their climb up the pyramid. Scottish football also needs both Dundee clubs in the top flight.

Surely you would still be able to enjoy that 'çulinary' experience if you visited Tannadice, or do you have a different ritual for each side?

They have a small support, always will given the Ugly Sisters are on their doorstep. But most clubs outside maybe 16 odd have a small localised fan base. Agree we need both Dundee teams in top flight as well as Dunfy, Raith, Falkirk and Partick. The whole 12 team, playing a team 4 times is fucking boring.

If the Leagues finished today and Falkirk won their playoff, then the Scottish Championship would have quite a strong look next season. It would have Queen’s Park/Partick, the Highland derby, the Fife derby, and sides such as Ayr and Morton. It would probably be more competitive than the top league again; currently, only a mere 6 points separate Dundee in first and Morton in sixth.

The Championship is way more competitive and interesting than the dead rubber of the top tier, I actually enjoyed our recent sojourn there. Getting your arse handed to you by the Old Firm 6-8 times a year can be quite tiring. It must be awful supporting the top 2, it’s no challenge and must be a hollow feeling winning a competition designed to favour you competitively and financially, and that’s before the biased refereeing they both get. Probably why they try so hard to make it look like the care more than each other, they are lying to themselves.

It’d be great having an expanded league, I miss trips to Firhill, Palmerston, Kirkcaldy, Arbroath etc etc. beats hearing songs about terrorist groups and rotten spuds. Even a trip to Airdrie would be a great.

How come there were no SPFL fixtures this weekend? I realise that the "split" happened last week, and that the "old firm" are playing in the cup tomorrow. I'm just curious why the other top flight teams weren't playing.

Have you not been to Stenhousemuir.
That's where they are playing this season.Seemingly struggling to get Lesser Hampden finished.
