Not all Scottish football is uncompetitive and predictable. There can be few leagues anywhere in the world where every fixture in the final round is actually meaningful. The denouement of the Scottish Championship is tonight:
- Arbroath v Hamilton Academical (either could face automatic relegation or be in relegation play off)
- Cove Rangers v Greenock Morton (Cove could be relegated and Morton could get into promotion playoffs)
- Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Ayr United (a win for ICT could see them leapfrog Ayr into the playoffs)
- Queen's Park v Dundee (winner automatically promoted)
- Raith Rovers v Partick Thistle (a Raith win could see Partick miss out on the playoffs if either of Ayr or ICT and Morton win)
Unless I’m wrong, the only side whose fate appears to be unaffected is that of Raith Rovers.
That’s a tremendous end to a season.
