What's the reason for the low old firm average attendance.
The money is in with Season book sales. People sometimes don’t go. I don’t understand it, but the money is in. We have 50k plus season books and people without can get a ticket for the other 10k. These averages also take in midweek winter games or Christmas where the opposition isn’t great and people decide to give it a bye.

What has plastic pitches got to do with the old firm support.
No way should any premier league club be allowed to have one of those types of pitches.
A myth that technology has moved on and that they are fit for use.
More fans more money. These clubs have to install plastic pitches to generate income.

Yeah, maybe start taking a part in supporting your team in the same numbers as when they get to Hampden Semi or Final and stop blaming us and our pals for all that is wrong. Football should be played on grass and if you can’t even get yourself a fucking pitch, then jog on.

If, as we always hear, they can’t afford it, well, don’t argue on one hand you don’t want to fill your ground with both Glasgow clubs in games where thousands of seats are empty and fail to use that income to have a pitch and improve your resources to buy and retain better players.

3,000 seats at £30 a pop for example x 4 games is £360k. That buys you a pitch, and from there on the money secures you to reach viability and an ability to improve. We win all these games anyway, other teams having more resources to have better players could change that. Empty stands is infantile in both financial and progressing as a team. So, get out and support your team, accept that having stands empty helps in keeping you where you are. Or don’t bother and stop moaning about gulfs when you put a knife to your own throats by refusing free money from us and Rangers supporters willing to pay you a considerable extra sum of cash each year. If your fans turn out, you have less to sell us, if they don’t you still maximise your revenue. If I was a chairman I would say, turn up or we sell seats.
Typical OF arrogance. Celtc really should set up a circle jerk with Liverpøøl, Man Yoo and Barca. Arsehole pretentious clubs.

So they say but is there any proof that these pitches bring in any real income to their clubs.
It’ll bring in a few quid and more likely save money on grass maintenance. Either way they should be banned from the top flight, but to replace them would cost a fortune and most clubs up here are living hand to mouth. Even the Astros up the Oriam aren’t up to it.

Arrogance fuck all, it’s financial sense. I would like to see all the clubs earn their potential and improve the quality and viability. If they don’t want to, then fine. Arsehole pretentious clubs? Really? Maybe it’s because those clubs maximise their revenue that enables them to be winners more than one trophy every century. Choosing to be poorer is your and every other clubs right, but that’s your choice.

I would love to see the evidence. They obviously save money in not having to maintain but the bottom line us if you don’t have a grass pitch then sorry but you need to change that. Open up the ground and raise nearly £500k a year that not only covers the cost of a pitch but growth. I hope they do because empty seats looks shit. If their own support don’t turn out they have no excuse. And they obviously don’t. Maybe, just maybe having more money to buy better players might make them get off their arses and going to more games, meaning you don’t have to sell the extra thousands to us.

Just the same as City smashing teams down there because you have infinite resources. Funny how you ignore that disparity as ok, but climb onto a high horse when it’s us levels above who we play. Double standards.
I'm primarily a Guiseley supporter mate. So don't get all high horsey here

And there's only 1 team in your shit league and that's Celtic.

EPL anyone can beat anyone.... When was the last time a non Celtic/Rangers won the title??? Your argument is terrible mate.

We're getting one. It can be used every day through the season and for teams in Non league etc it can be a lifeline as it can be hired out all week.

I’m not arguing our league is great. It isn’t. I’m saying we have more money because we are bigger, that helps us improve, we are the best up here. The same as it does for every club everywhere. It’s not our fault they are all shit.

I would like to see them down. That pitch should not be allowed. Purely the pitch and the same goes for Livi. Get a real pitch or go.

Or we just base merit on a points basis, could do something like 3 points for a win and 1 each for a draw?

(Not that this helps our cause).

Get out of your own head. Honestly it'd be better if we cut the old firm allocation further, strip it down to zero. Can smell the self entitlement from here.

Oh save the fucking cliches for fuck sake. It’s boring and embarrassing. I don’t give a single fuck what you do. But, if you fail to maximise your cash I think that’s a mistake. That’s it.

Ha, a Celtic fan telling me what's embarrassing now. That's the thing when self reflection isn't a strong point, all of a sudden usually level headed people become so clued up in everyone else's problems and know what's good for them as well.

You're miles off it. And regardless of how many times you've been told exactly why that is, you choose to stick your fingers in your ears and go blah blah blah, that's a you problem.

Seriously, when did the Celtic support turn into massive Tories?

Tories? I fucking hate Tories.

Well try and stop sounding like one.

Seriously, have a look through your own last few posts on this subject and try to understand how arrogant and detached from reality they come across.

Kilmarnock (and other clubs) have listened to feedback from their own supporters, including families, and their own communities. This is just one of the several reasons why the allocation has been cut fairly recently.

The financial situation is nowhere near as simple and clear cut as you make out either. Alienating your own core support to accommodate another few thousand IRA/Bobby Sands/UVF/The Pope chanting pissed up old firm fans has negative consequences in terms of season ticket sales and families who enjoy taking their kids to watch the football would you believe?

I get what you’re saying, I do. It’s just that for four games out of a season that extra cash could really help improve the situation on and off the park. Now if you could fill it there isn’t an issue, but that’s not the case. It’s not about us getting more advantage, we don’t need it. I like full stadiums, although I do agree with you on the songbooks of both and I too fucking hate that. It inspires no one and causes embarrassment.

It was only ever about making clubs more financially stable and helping them build stronger teams. I do accept though that if the clubs supporters say fuck off, then off we fuck.

Celtic draw and still extend their lead at the top.
Computer now trying to make the old firm game impossible for them to win the league at Ibrox.

Today was always going to be a tough game for Rangers. Aberdeen are flying at the moment, 7 wins on the bounce after today, I think. Celtic are now one win away from the title. Pretty much a foregone conclusion after winning the Parkhead derby a couple of weeks back.
