It was a nailed on penalty and red card, to be fair. Not sure what the St Mirren player and his manager were whinging about.

The St Mirren manager said post match the Referee was correct and no problem with the decision

I know quite a few St Mirren fans and not one is complaining about the decision. Most not happy that Strain did it as they had actually came back into the game after a ropey start but that killed the game

What's the demographic of a Scotland away following? Is it mainly old firm or is it across the board with Dundee Aberdeen etc?

In my experience It's across the board and down the league's. I'd say old firm fans make up a very small % of TA away following and they largely come from elsewhere.

I still remember the days of Rangers Celtic Aberdeen Dundee Utd having a real go in Europe , don’t get me wrong I know the old firm made European finals more recently , but what happened to Scottish football … English sides had at least 4 players from north of Hadrian’s wall , and can it come good again the SPL … would Scottish fans be happy to see their sides play in England ?

What happened with us at least, is a complete lack of ambition, planning and investment in players who can kick a ball five feet. We have actually played a lot better in terms of games, but can’t get rid of our compulsion to give away goals and miss sitters. I am hopefully, but not certain, we will improve.

You used to have four Scots players, but now you get your players from outwith our shores. We don’t produce as many good players. My own team produce the square root of fuck all and have to have one of the least productive Academies in the world of professional football.

Plus, with us winning everything, at least it gives Rangers fans something. They love a coefficient and without this have fuck all to crow about. Apart from they’re coming, look out it’s the real rangers, and so on and so forth.

Europe for us is far from even ok. But, as I said, I’m hopeful.

Was listening to BBC sportsound on the way home from the football today. Nick Montgomery mentioned that the new Rangers manager went on to the pitch and controlled the ball at one point but wasn't sent off, Montgomery rightly found it bizarre given Derek McInnes stopped a ball which had already gone out of play a few weeks ago and was shown red! Rules for one and not for others continues it seems...

On another note, I saw the absolutely vile messages some Hibs fan cretins left mocking the Ibrox disaster. Sickening and shameful that these types can look themselves in the mirror at the end of any given night. What is it with the new wave of football "youth" and the desire to be as offensive as possible? Horrible.

Agree with the Clement incident. Utterly bizarre. The ball looked as if it was well out from where I was and bent back in. Clement, wanting to play at pace controlled it and gave it to a Rangers player to take thrown in. Now no matter what you’re told at no time did linesman have his flag up but the referee gave Rangers the throw!

Was McInnes given straight Red or second booking. I can just remember him laughing at the decision as the referee had lost the plot.

On Robertson and lines man. A clear foul in front of the Hibs support on Rangers player with Robertson unsighted and nothing. A few minutes later there is a coming together of two players we win ball and it’s played across goal and going to be a tap in and that same linesman flags for imaginary foul. I thought they were supposed to let the attack play out or is that just offsides?

Nearing the end of first half and Rangers are countering down the wing. Rangers player skips by Hibs midfielder who just blatantly grabs his shirt for an absolute routine , taking one for the team, booking but nope. Robertson gives the foul but doesn’t book the player.!!!

Every week it’s the same. All we want is consistency and for them to get the most obvious correct

As for the graffiti. It’s shameful but I don’t expect anything will happen to Hibs. They’ll be billed for the seats and that will be the end of it. I know Rangers have issued a statement. Rangers do have excellent CCTV so we might see the odd individual fined with possible footy ban but I doubt it.
