This just popped up on twitter. Exact same as what Robbie Deas was (rightly) sent off for Killie against Hearts 2 weeks ago. The only difference is actually a defence to Deas in that he slipped whilst making the tackle.
Another example of inconsistency. Another example of an old firm club being treated preferably to another side.
Last season Sterling given straight Red against Aberdeen. Dominic Robertson told by VAR to look at it again but stuck to decision. Rangers appealed the Red card and SFA upheld decision. Player had to serve suspensionYeah I can totally accept that. Not saying it's an outright blatant red myself, just that we've had two of those upgraded by VAR and consequently have a reputation as being a proper dirty team this season, where as they're treated more leniently. If that (if yer gran has balls etc) was Killie playing up there today and it was a tackle by Joe Wright or Liam Donnelly and not the Rangers boy, they'd be off and I've no doubt about that. Same referee, same VAR, but I guarantee there'd be a different outcome.
Ref Watch on Sky and Dermott Gallagher and panel all agree that it’s not a penalty to Hibs. The more I see it the worse it gets. Originally I thought soft and a 50/50 but Hagi is in front of the Hibs player and it’s a clear foul to Rangers!
As for the Deas Red card. Googled it and as I remembered it. It’s a shocker with zero slip and 100% a Red card and was highlighted on Ref watch as 100% correct decision. Strange one to highlight considering the bizarre decisions involving Killie this season
Yeh. The same Rangers who are only one of two teams not awarded a penalty this season"Zero slip"
It's a pretty obvious slip. Can argue all day it's a red, don't mind that view - but he's slipped as he's gone in.
Anyway, glad there were no refereeing controversies for us at yesterday's game. Partially helped by our players being apparently reluctant to tackle. Maybe a consequence of being referred to a different standard to say, Rangers & Celtic, for example.

Kilmarnock have been awarded 5!
Don’t get MP started or he ll be posting clips of when Kanchelskis was playing in Scotland!!
The United one was very debatable but I’m sure they had an equally debatable one earlier in the season at Rugby Park where the referee definitely guessed which is a pet hate of mine. Pretty sure that one cost you pointsNothing contentious about any of them tbf. Dundee United away in the last minute was about as debatable as they come, and I think ref watch and definitely Neil McCann and the sportscene panel all felt it was the right decision.
Should have had one v Motherwell.
