Devastating for hearts and their manager Jesus some of them will never get over that.

First time I watched a Scottish game longer than 15mins in the last 5 years! It probably be another 5 before I watch another one!

I think people watched it hoping for a different winner and a little bit of history, not one of the same old boring 2 winning it yet again.

Scottish football has been interesting this season because Hearts could have won it against all the odds, but sadly, the bully came along and kicked over there lovely sand castle.
wasn't a lovely sand castle, they're the Arse of the SPL...long ball/throw in/set piece merchant...very effective at times but not an attractive side to watch. I'm no lover of the Old Firm I can assure you and I would have taken any other SPL club to win the title over them, I just don't like Hearts for a variety of reasons reasons down the years.
Give them their due though, they fought like tigers this season and showed the rest of the SPL what can be done with a bit of spirit and self-belief.

We create zero chances from those set pieces

Compared to the JCBs and other heavy machinery of the OF it was a hand built sand castle to me.

Anyway, I'm off to watch the BIG game.

Ttfn.

Good drama at the end.

Hearts far too deep inviting pressure.

No composure and away from home under pressure. Couldn’t keep the ball at all. Only a matter of time before Celtic scored.

Shame for them but well done Celtic. At least it wasn’t a procession.

True but sure if Hearts had won, would that have changed people's opinion on next season and how it would ultimately go? More than likely not.

A complete 180 opinion overnight? No. But i dont think anyone was really saying that. If hearts won, it would make people at least slightly interested to see if hearts (or anyone else) could kick on and put up another challenge. Thats all you can expect when a 40 year dominance gets interrupted. So that in and of itself would be an improvement and a first step. 40 years of no fucks given, to some fucks given is all that is possible relative to how long the old firm has dominated.

We seen it with Monaco and Leverkusen (granted those leagues had more teams winning it in last 40 years than Scotlands league). But those leagues had more talk than usual going into next season because theres the question of "will they/can they defend their title?", so naturally people will watch watch out for it. Even for a consecutive challenge, if not a win.

Did anyone watch much Bundesliga or Ligue 1 this season? Doubtful

The benefit has been dished out already, regardless of who won

Because last season it was the usual winners again. Thats the whole point im making and you're validating it by acknowledging it lol. When Leverkusen won the title, the following season had more interest from neutrals than ususal.

But once it started looking like yet another title for Munich the interest quickly faded. Same with ligue 1 when Monaco won the title then went onto to do nothing. The increased interest was there until there was nothing of interest. Whereas if there was consecutive challenges then the interest would have maintained. And so on. Thats my whole point.

What is it you're not getting?

First time ever that i thought that Hearts were cheated.
2 disgraceful decisions in the Motherwell games.
More than just the two in the Motherwell games alone.

It’ll always be a tainted title but I’m sure they couldn’t care less.

Absolutely gutted for you and your club’s supporters.

That if Hearts won the league all of a sudden there's a massive increase in Scottish football, even a gradual one, it just wouldn't happen.

The neutrals tuning in this season did so because it was close, and even if Hearts won, come September there'd be the same level of interest as their usually is until possibly the last month or two if it happens again.

You're describing a flash in a pan and nothing more, nothing that's going to save or kill Scottish football.
