scunthorpe prices

The trouble with this competition is that it only gets interesting at the quarter final stage (or maybe the semi's, even). Attendances before these stages are historically low.

Sod this "historically" crap. We've got the BEST team, the BEST owners, the MOST EXCITING era looming for donkey's years & people who claim to be fans don't want to watch THEIR team because it's "only the Carling Cup". If you're not "interested" in watching City, whatever the competition, then you're NOT a true fan.

Obviously, some people have genuine reasons for not attending & that's perfectly understandable. But those who "don't think I'll bother" will be making the most noise when Wembley tickets (please God!!) are up for grabs. How anyone can criticise the club over ticket prices is beyond me.

Hamburg would have sold out at £35 a ticket. It was the QF of the UEFA, everyone wanted to go. They did that as a thanks to the fans not to get bums on seats.

If we put QF of the LC at £5 a ticket against a team like Scunthorpe (not offence to Scunny) I still don't think it would sell out.

Wrong on both counts

Quite simple mate - a lot of arseholes about that think going to a city game for free is a god given right now we have a rich owner and it takes the piss really. Bollocks to them I say. I will still go and appreciate the lowest ticket prices in the round.

£15 is about right.

It is about generating money for smaller clubs. The £1 for kids is a bonus, especially when they are on cup games direct.

These type of matches is what football is all about with the Prem getting very boring.

Very good point, I'm sure Scunny had some imput into the pricing.
