If Shaw went for £32m Coleman could be £40m. But maybe they're not as cheeky and we're not as daft!
Coleman was playing in an Irish pub league at Shaw's age; we should have snapped him up from Southampton last summer after he was in the PL team of the season. He's a proper player who looks like he's got over his injury issues.
If the rags implode under Van Gaal's excessively autocratic approach to management this season and drop out of the top 4, a real possibility given Liverpool's impressive summer transfer activity, we should hit them with a sizeable bid next summer to replace Clichy, and bring in Coleman for Sagna.
The fullback roles in our team are very physically taxing, and young legs are required to sustain a full season.
