Sean Lock RIP

Just saw what is now a very good insight based on hindsight. Rory McGrath and Sean Lock on a very old episode of QI. McGrath is now know to be a top pervert stalking oddball weirdo twat. He was being a bit of a **** on the panel show and Sean Lock mercilessly took the piss out of him and showed him up as a boring strange ****. Great to see
I remember that episode going out and actually thought it was the only time I ever saw Sean Lock hit below the belt. I recall a joke from Sean that a latin name meant "pair of bearded twats" alluding to McGrath and Bill Oddie (I can't remember why Oddie was in the conversation, only McGrath was on the show). I don't think McGrath has appeared on the show since despite being a regular beforehand but that could be other reasons as others have stated. He was a decent panellist, if ever so smart-arsed, but of course Sean wanted to be the entertainer, and the show has gone in that direction rather than being more strait-laced and informative in its early days.

Just a clash of styles really, but the tension between the two could be felt just watching the show.

Always liked Sean, although for the sake of honesty I've never held him I'm the reverence others seem to do.

His Geoff Capes/Luther Vandross bit was delightful, mind. I've always enjoyed his surreal and quirky approach.

58 is no age though. Absolute shame for him and his family.

Probably the cleverest, funniest comedian of the last ten years and a real sad loss. I had no idea he was ill. Must have been a really progressive cancer he had? What a terrible disease cancer is. RIP
He had melanoma in his 20s.
He hadn’t been on new tv for years.

Has anyone put up the Nazi island one yet? Quality. His mascot bits at the beginning were always brilliant. Can’t watch any tributes still a bit upset.

Nazi island is quality mate, carr keeps trying to steer him away but he keeps going. You can almost hear that comedy brain thinking "fuck you we're going there"
I'm still a bit upset too, and i'm generally a heartless twat. Just shows how well loved he was.
Bill Baileys tribute was particularly touching, I didn't know, but they were close friends.
