Season card renewal package has arrived

there are lots of different reasons why people don't want to move.

I site with my son, daughter 4 friends and other friends nearby and have done for years. I wouldn't want to move to the familiy stand just to get a cheaper seat for my daughter , also if your child is say 15 do you move into the family stand and then you have to find another decent seat when you move out a year later.

It isn't just a match to a lot of people it's a social event to meet friends and City need to appreciate this. I have had a season ticket for 30 years if my mate moved to the family stand as he has 2 young sons i would have to re-consider if i wanted to go.

The prices are £95-£140-£190 for juniors depending on the stand, which represents good options in my opinion. OK if you want to concentrate on the negative (which is basically my point - a lot of people are taking that position), you're talking 100% price hikes and "sanitised environments". Hash language indeed and completely missing my point. Do you really think "family friendly stewards" are something to whine about? Yeah let's get ourselves clobbered, pushed about and sworn at each and every game, that's what it's about. Kids can stay at home.

I don't get clobbered, pushed about or sworn at where I am. I sit with people I know and like and it's a great atmosphere.

My kids (if they were old enough) would pay double what they would have last season.

As for the assertion that not 1 person will buy a season ticket, you're making a lot of assumptions - you can't possibly know that, and I think you're wrong - loads of people will take up the North Stand option.

Maybe people that were sitting in other areas of the ground. But you won't get many if any saying that they are going to buy a season ticket that they weren't before because they'll see a juggler in the concourses.

On the other hand, I suspect my kids will have to wait a few more years before they go to games. £190 is too much when they won't go to all the games anyway, and I have no interest in sitting in the North Stand. And I have no interest in introduce my kids to City through MCFC-lite.

So what you on about then when you say "family friendly stewards"?

But that wouldn't be their (or your) only option.

Again with the assumptions .... the main one being that jugglers will be in the concourses ?? I mean, where does that come from - definitely not from the club. You're just making stuff up and exaggerating differences to dismiss out of hand everything the club is trying to do .... so negative.

The key thing you said here is "I have no interest in sitting in the North Stand". That's the real issue here ... when I was a kid, my dad had similar crap excuses for not taking me.

Thats one of the reasons the club have said people would want to move to the North Stand. I'm happy with the stewarding elsewhere, so why move?

But that wouldn't be their (or your) only option.

Where I sit now is the best option for me.

Why don't the club start telling us exactly what plans they have for us then. Why should I move from where I'm comfortable to an area I don't like sitting in, only to be kicked out again when my oldest turns 16. What exactly is in it for me or my kids?

You may think paying for an inferior seat (IMO) or paying double the price for two kids tickets are crap excuses. I guess you're entitled to your opinion.

Fair enough, I just think there's a lot of cynicism flying around here. I guess time will tell, but I wouldn't count on any storming of the main stand on this issue. Ah the good old bad days.

Where is that exactly. Mine has gone up 10%

Anyone on here had a 10% rise in the last couple of years?

Sign of things to come - welcome to the corporate reality Blues.

Block 110, gone from £525 to £475...

also my renewal pack arrived this morning, been sent off....

lol...i have been standing 10 feet from you in 111 and paid £370 this season...rising to £405 next season...so mines risen about 9 1/2%

must admit. i have no desire to pay a premium price for a padded seat. we will definitely struggle to shift these. the corporate packages rarely sell out. they're even having to advertise them at ot now. viva the working classes.

My season ticket in CBL3 for the first five seasons was £460, it then went up in 2008/9 to £498, came down season after to £478, and next season it will be £475. A saving of £3. Think I'll blow it on a pastie!
