Corporate sales definately aren't included, but you've got a good point with the fact that you can still buy (I believe) a premium seat. They say that ST's are sold out so if they are still selling premiums then they're obviously not included in the 40,000 figure.Maybe, maybe not. Are corporate sales included in the 40,000? Until the last couple of years they weren't even shown as part of match day income. Instead they were shown along with sponsorship money as part of commercial income.
Reading it literally it's additional. It distinguishes between "premium seats" and £299 "seasoncards" in the article. It also says we've sold out and yet corporate and premium seats remain on sale. I'm not 100% sure. It could just be bad use of English. It's a shit article really but it does read as 42,000 not 40,000.
