I'm not really here
If finishing trophiless but third in the Premier League a shit season, then I'm very pleased to be a City supporter.

I'm old enough to remember being 3-0 up at half time against Bournemouth and letting them finish the game as a draw (this is always the 'misery' game that sticks in my mind from my seat in J Block).

I remember us suffering humiliation in the third flight while the Traffordians won everything - my mates at the time rubbed it in and then some.

Back then, finishing third in the top flight would have been a dream finish to any season. Let's not be all spoilt by our successes.

At least got we got Bishop because of that game, turned out alright mind the week after.

What a weird season..

Not only do Spurs help us out by not giving the rags UCL footy.. rags help us out by scoring a few against Villa.I feel so dirty accepting their favors.. I need a bath!

Well at least we didn't need the rags favor since we took care of business ourselves! 71 points after a 1 point November and 4 point December.. not bad!

Major props to Viana for getting our emergency signings right! We needed them for a good part of the season even if not at the end!

What an arc for Nunes this season from unusable to undroppable! Now if that's the last time we see from several players.. thanks all for your service to City.

Good to finish 3rd after what has felt like a down year. I think this is a very important moment and it will be really interesting seeing who leaves alongside Kev & Walker, then more importantly who arrives.

Looking at the final stats (which I wish the club webpage would include) it is clear that this season we only have 1 player in the list of top PL scorers (Erling) and 1 in the assists (Kev with 7!) where the issue is. Hopefully next year Omar an be up there. But, for me we have had a real lack of goals and assists from our wingers. I really think we may see Savinho or Doku moved on especially if we are looking at Rodrygo cause we cannot rely on Erling to be our only scoring threat and without the assist king someone has to step up - or we change the way we utilise wide players and overlapping fullbacks.

Overall though we can now attract players who want CL. I hope we get the business done early.

A hangover from Gundo, the treble, then four in a row. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong. To rescue third place and show signs of being on the up again is quite an achievement. Hopefully we get cleared of the 115 soon.

The utter mess down the road is a joy to behold.

Not too bothered about not finishing with a trophy as I think it's great to see teams who have been potless for decades win something - I remember how good it felt to win that FA Cup.

However, we have been very poor to watch this season. Some of the football has been turgid and we've had countless players under perform.

The manager will sort it out though. Onwards and upwards.

Third, FA Cup final but still disappointing overall. Which is fine. An off season is fine.

Performances have annoyed me - the style of football for the majority specifically - but hopefully that picks up.

Champions League football was a must and we’ve got it. Onto the next.

Finishing third after that stretch we had in November to January is big in itself. The style of play has been stale to say the least, but I put that down to the number of low blocks we have to face and I’m sure Pep will figure out how to break them down. If I had to rate it, I’d say this was a 6/10 season. Not great by our recent standards but could’ve been worse.

We get fullbacks and reinforcements in the middle, along with our electric attacking talent, and we’re challenging on all fronts again next season.

Its been poor lets have it right.
Champs league really is a bear minimum so lets not celebrate that too much.
The FA Cup wouldve been great but we royally fucked that up.

The football has largely been awful to watch.
Peps made some erratic, strange decisions all season.

Injuries havent helped and we had awful luck with that but ill never use that as an excuse.

I know a hell of a lotnof clubs would love 3rd place and a final but the club we are its the absolute least we should expect.

5/10

Years from now we will look back to this season and cringe.

Still, I am happy it wasn’t worse. We will build on this and be stronger for it.

PS: 15 straight years in the CL. You’ll never sing that!
