Seasoncard Renewals | Slight Price Increase

I don’t like the price increases. I don’t particularly like the people running the administration of our Club (although they’ve helped some posters over the years).

That said, I wish people would stop making stuff up like saying there are no Blues to take our place if we stopped doing to games. There is enough demand that the expansions of the North Stand is now a matter of timing rather than if it will happen.

I'm sure the capacity will be increased at some stage to accommodate a larger demand for certain high profile games, there will be many more empty seats for lower demand games which happens at a lot of big clubs across Europe. Course we will get the emtpihad jibes but we get those now, usually from those who think footballers are 4 inches tall and perform in a cyber world.

To be honest, the league season is always my priority and I would never miss a home game unless an emergency, so don't see what the point in the silver ticket option, but with this increase I may now look to ditch one of the cup schemes and tbh if we win the champions league this year it will be that, all games are televised and I won't miss the people who come as season card regulars don't and I end up with next to me some schreeching kids or groups that couldn't get seats together so stand in mine and I have to tell to shift
And 8pm KOs on work nights won't be missed.

That's exactly what I did , but I only moved back two rows.
I think that your ST should go down in price mate.
Why?
1) You never asked to be moved.
2) The advertising revenue must be worth more than what your seasoncard is to the club, or they wouldn't have relocated you in the first place!

Like I said in a previous page, it’s not how cheap the cheapest tickets are, it’s how many cheap tickets a club has that’s important.

City and West Ham could have just 250 at £325 but Newcastle could have 1,500 at £450 or United 5,000 at £532. Bayern München have 12,000 budget tickets at around £250.

We have tens of thousands of fans in the local area who can’t afford to go, we had 10,000 applicants for the £250 season tickets when SSL3 opened, with most of them left disappointed.

When fans get priced out they get used to not going.

So when we now go to Wembley for semifinals and we don’t sell out and City scratch around dishing tickets out to hundreds of people who’ve never been to a football game in their lives and don’t even support City (which is what has happened for the semis against Brighton and Liverpool), and we’re left with empty seats and a terrible atmosphere that’s embarrassed by the opposition fans; that’s the fault of pricing out (and then ignoring them like they don’t exist as they search for more tourists and nobodies) our core fans.

good post mate. Its a very short sighted policy.

Spot on. They have to look to make their money from hospitality and some more expensive seating but balance that with a bulk of affordable tickets for the working class fans who just can't afford to pay the prices they are charging.

But seemingly they are content with attendances and prices and not too interested in having a few more for the lesser games when they can sell the majority of tickets the way they are priced.

I’ll stomach the £25 and renew but surprised no one has mentioned a big thing for me - timing:

A weeks notice these are going on sale at the part of a season where people have just paid for Wembley, Madrid away (twice!) and we’re hopefully planning a likely extortionate trip to Paris too - couldn’t they have waited until mid-end June?
