Seat Counters - 2022/23

There have been several games I've been regularly checking the OS for exchange tkts, in vain - usually not had a problem before this season but now, I'm starting to believe suggestions (here) that the club are simply not putting ticket returns back on the market for citizens members, but rather adding a pie and a pint and punting them out as £399 'hospitality'.y

You bet they will ! For the Liverpool game grandson couldn't attend so used ticket exchange for the first time ! Just before kick off a guy turned up to the seat, talking to him he'd paid £215 for the seat which included a pre match meal at the academy, free parking and a programme plus a ride to the ground ! This is in East Stand Level 3 block 303, my grandson is under 18 so I got £11.48 reimbursed 1/19th the price of the seat!! This is how City are coining it in on ticket exchange!!

At this stage for big games blues should be actively avoiding putting their tickets on the exchange, and should be selling them at face value on Bluemoon or trusted Twitter/Facebook exchange sites instead. It’s the only way to ensure proper match-going fans get tickets, because the club are just going to mark them up another £250 quid plus and sell them to corporate hospitality instead.

The way the club have operated as regards to tickets in the last month has been completely shameful

Been saying this for weeks. People on here seem to think there is no demand for more corporate seats when they’ve been flogging tickets bought back from the exchange - for £500 for some games including a meal at Goucho Vermillion or the Academy.

Exactly the same for me 6 years ago for the Rashford 1-0 Derby game with the wife's ticket. I've never used Ticket Exchange since and have just passed it on FOC or for 1/19th of Seasoncard value to other blues.

This business model is exactly why Silver Tickets have come about. Once that hotel is built, there will be 'corporate' pre match pie & pints in there too. It's only going to get worse. In short, don't use ticket exchange for any match if you can cover your cost with passing on to other blues. It keeps football affordable and stops profiteering.

For balance, I have been able to buy tickets on the exchange this year for both the Arsenal and Chelsea game recently. Admittedly I think I got lucky as they've very rarely come up, and regardless, it's still outrageous how much mark up there is on the exchange. £65 for a ticket when 1/19th of the seasoncard price would be £18.42...

Seat counting for the final represents no excitement or uncertainty, we need blocks of empty seats not on sale to create an adrenaline rush
