Seat Counters - 2022/23

There is a huge increase in ticket sales. Guaranteed the Sevilla home game Wednesday and the Chelsea carabao cup game the week after would still have 1000s of tickets left for sale same time last year.
Brilliant that they’ve both sold out.

A Bolton fan at work is taking his City supporting kids to the Sevilla game.
Another bloke at work is a fair weather Villa fan but will be taking his City mad 9 year old son to the Chelsea match. He was a bit annoyed that he had to pay a lot up front with membership fees but he's already saying that he'll get it back by attending a few more matches and stadium tour. Not everyone is happy with the club's membership strategy but it will turn this guy and his son into semi regular fans going forward.

This - winning over the next generation - is so important to the future of City. Until recently, most of these kids would have defaulted to United or Liverpool fans.

Slightly off topic but for every game not far from me there seems to a large party of school children from Scotland. Not the same ones, like a different school or football club each week. I’ve not got a problem with it. Just seems a bit odd why they’re always from Scotland. Do they not do the same with local schools?

Outside of the locality, Scotland visitors represent the largest contingent of regulars at home games.

The Club have tapped in to the schools up there a few years back and tickets are sold via them and youth football teams.

Forget Rangers and Celtic, we went after all the other towns and cities.

I go to visit family each year and it's incredible to see how many City shirts you come across.

I was in Pitlochry village back in July and there were four or five local kids in the High Street with the new shirt on.

That’s interesting. There was a lad sitting next to me recently who kept checking his phone and suddenly said Yes, 1-0! I asked him who he was checking up on and he said Partick Thistle. His mum seemed a bit worried that he was revealing they weren’t dedicated City fans but I assured them they were very welcome to come and see the champions in the flesh. Had a nice chat about Thistle’s crazy David Shrigley designed mascot

I think they might've targeted Dunfermline - I see a fair few City shirts being sported by school-age kids. Any older, though, and it's mostly Liverpool shirts for English teams, with a few Chelsea mixed in. No united, strangely enough!

It's time to extend the north stand. Forget stupid Dortmund walls just replicate the south stand. It would look awe inspiring.

Only went and forgot to sort myself a Chelsea ticket. Any tips on how to master the ticket exchange and get lucky through that?
