Seat Counters - 2023/24

Not really got a dog in this fight but from reading this thread it seems to me that some OSC’s are giving tickets to fans who’ve just joined so they can get tickets.

I don’t know how the OSC’s work, but maybe some rules about having to attend a certain number or percentage of meetings/events held by the clubs before you can get a ticket might be a good idea?

To be fair mate. A lot operate really well. Just a minority that don’t. I left one, due to the unfairness of distribution of tickets and it’s not on, when a season ticket holder misses out to a member only. But on the whole, a lot of hard work goes into organising the OSC’s.

My supporters club were told that anyone applying for a ticket now has to have a membership or season ticket. Supporter number will not be enough don't know if that's the case for every supporter club but it's a very big supporter club

The kind hearted blokes who do the tickets and bus from deepest Yorkshire for our branch put in more hours than any players and get no perks.
Our membership has doubled over 2 years and thanks to them at 61 with a season ticket for decades I got to see Gundos goal of the decade last year plus will meet David White at a meeting later this month. Over 1000 locals, mainly kids attended our trophy display!

The club itself couldn't care less, and frankly doesnt need to and are content for anyone who pays full dollar, yen, rouble or has a decent tik tok following to be in a similar queueing position as me.

That's the premiership and the price of watching the best , most consistent team on the planet .

I think the bare minimum should be something like a uniformed 5 game policy from that season across the board of all OSCs. Five games isn't much to ask and maybe would aliveate some of the, at times, justifiable animosity on here. If people are just using it for a Wembley trip it's not exactly supporting their branch either.

I think Tim gets upset as he appears to run his properly which is understandable. Our coach will predominantly be season ticket holders too. Hearing too many instances of things like this not being the case though. A rag last year was telling me he knew somebody that got a ticket for the FA Cup final through a supporters club and their policy was one game. Thought he was taking the piss at the time, but now I believe him.

There will also be people buying tickets without the intention of going to the game themselves. Be it buying on somebody's behalf or selling it on for profit so there can also be an element of hypocrisy too.

I would say the only people who should actually be entitled to cup final tickets in the three cheapest categories are S/T holders that joined the cup scheme and matchday Cityzens members who attended every previous round. Everyone else who gets one should count themselves lucky. Sadly there will be loads of matchday members who went to each round who will miss out to the glory hunters who have suddenly got interested in the FA Cup because we’re in the final.
