Seat Counters - 2023/24

The main Face Value page are highlighting the remaining tickets on City’s ticket site which usually leads to a surge in sales. Maybe City should employ them.

City have dropped a massive bollock in today’s game, but I’m not having all the praise for the scousers and their £9 tickets. It wouldn’t take you long to count up the number of £9 tickets they sell for league games.

They make well over £1m a match more Matchday income than City - so much easier to make a PR discount on a small number of seats.

The problem is these bollock drops happen on a regular basis. These aren't one off cock ups.

From City’s point of view if this sells out just before kick off they’ve got it bang on commercially.

Someone posted a link to last years Real Madrid tie and I had completely forgot that my sons ticket in SSL3 was £12.50. Unbelievable pricing really and massively appreciated now that I think back. Around the same time though a change in direction was clear, especially in the way they sold to new members for the same tie. It feels they’re caring less about the core support every week now, £30 for juniors today another good example of that. I’ll be amazed if we see anywhere near the same pricing as last year for this years QF and SF and it will be telling if they have reacted in any way to the backlash from last years fiasco by including some kind of selling criteria for members or they’re going to welcome anyone who pays an extra £35 to apply for tickets.

continually alienating your fanbase is not a commercial success, maybe on the day, but not in the long term, maybe lots of those fans who could afford Huddersfield at home next time will say fuck it, they only want me when it's a shit game
