Seat Counters - 2024/25

Now sold 21.5k by my reckoning.

very difficult to tell, but we have not even sold out the lower tier, and have 7000 seats still to go on sale, i would say less, cannot see many more shifting now as all levels of membership have had access. Looking like our lowest wembley following unless their is a huge surge

Let’s go back to the good old days and put them all on sale at the same time and you have to attend the ground personally to buy them. Some great queues around and inside the stadium when they did that.
An afterthought:

My son had been queuing for hours one year and was actually inside the stadium on one of the concourses when who should walk by but Bernard Halford. My son turned toward him and before he could say anything Bernard blurted out "Don't blame me it's not my bloody fault".

I had a look back at last year's thread for the semi-final against Chelsea. By my reckoning we're several thousand behind where we were then when it got to this point where ST holders then Cityzens can buy extra tickets. Think we might've shifted 28k/29k at that point. That sold out with something like 11 days to go and that was after we were given nearly 3000 extra tickets, making our allocation nearly 37000. It'll be interesting to see how sales go from hereon in. Looking at last year, it was Cityzens members who hoovered up the vast majority when fans were allowed to buy extras as opposed to ST holders so expect today's 3pm window to be far busier than the 11am one. I'd also expect the FA to bung us some extra tickets at some point - as is usually the case - regardless of whether it looks like we'll sell out or not.

The semis have usually been in the Easter Holidays, but this time it's after people have gone back.
Bit of an issue shifting tickets for a 4.30pm kick off when people wont be home until close to midnight at the earliest.

There could be a few thousand OSC members still to purchase given yesterday’s mixup. That’s a guess and most might have sorted their tickets last night. Supposedly seats in blocks 133-140 were saved for them (as well as some level 3 seats) but when I logged in and bought a pair in 133, it looked like Blues could buy any remaining seats. It’s a bit of a mystery as the message was that seats in blocks had been saved for OSC members but not specific seats?

i have seen mass confusion amongst supporters clubs, the branch i have access to have given up on the club sorting and just gone in and ordered their own

Pretty sure we'll have more there than we did against Brighton. That said, we're quite a long way behind last year's sales. Sold out our allocation of 36738 for that one and sold it out a week and a half before the match so could've sold a few thousand more I reckon. Cityzens will take up a lot of the slack for this when they can buy extras. Looking like a tough task to sell all 34000 at this point, let alone any extras we get, but you never know.

Why do you think we are so far behind?

I’m tended to follow suite for our Branch for future semi finals. Last year we ended up with expensive tickets and this season no guaranteed tickets, from what I can make out.

Why do you think we are so far behind?
Because when I checked last year's thread last night it looked like we had something like approx 7500 tickets left to sell ahead of ST holders and Cityzens being able to buy extra tickets and I think that was including the extra 2738 the FA had given us on top of the initial 34000

That said, I still think there's potential for loads to shift once the new criteria kicks in. I'm looking forward to the 3pm window in particular as it could well be carnage

Get on it. It's City at Wembley. If you can...do.
Great post.

Yesterday was the 27th birthday of Michael Mitten my lads best mate who passed away suddenly at the start of this season.

We went to the 2024 Charity Shield together, tomorrow is no guarantee.

You also have to remember that we thought originally that the supporters clubs had been factored in and that is clearly not the case now.
So it could be that alot more will be taken up this morning by them once they realise they have to get their own this season and now the system for their allocation is working correctly.
The supporters club that I know, had originally asked for 30 pound tickets and were allocated a block, but because of the glitch last night, all those seats had been sold so they are now having to buy the 70 pound seats.
Bit unfair as there are blocks still unreleased which will have 30 and 45 pound seats in them.

Another example of a World Class Seat Counter at work here. Look at this little piece of understated magic.

Sometimes you just have to take step back and applaud, no matter who you support.

Sounds like a right old cock-up on the part of the club. Hope everybody gets sorted.

It's an interesting development with regards to the seat counting though. So going off what you've said, there were some seats ringfenced for OSC members that ended up getting bought by non-OSC members instead?

That does not sound good from a consumer rights point of a view, sounds like the club will be dealing with a few complaints, a right royal cock up...
