Seat Counters - 2024/25

The problem with this idea is that next year (if we’re lucky enough) you’ll get thousands buying a ticket and not going just to guarantee a dib at the final ticket. However they should maybe get the chance at the sane time as ST holders who aren’t in the cup scheme.

This is a good point. And the ones that have no intention of going will snap up all of the cheaper tickets so they aren't out of pocket too much and the people that do go would be forced to pay for the more expensive ones. Counter productive and could lead to even less bums on seats.

Yes thought Forest fans I met were top class, was outnumbered in Watford pre match but they were all great and knew their football.
Like us they have a couple of knobs.

Exactly, one pissed up fan started at the Station " you from London". I told him it was none of his fucking business, two of his pals apogised and dragged him away.
Migjt stop in Bushey for the Final, small but a few pubs and restaurants and a Jazz festival on the Final weekend.

In terms of quantity of fans inside the ground, Forest won

In terms of quantity of songs by those fans inside the ground, City absolutely pissed it
And after 80/85 minutes there were definitely more of us than them.

Their big day out and half of them were on their way home by injury time. Now that is embarrassing.

I think that's fair. But people will cry fowl. And the club won't do that. TBH I didn't go to the semi-final, so I could potentially miss out on a final ticket.

I'm not going to get into an argument about it, as it won't happen, but it did cross my mind yesterday after the match.
It’s the way forward I think. If others have made the effort to go London for a semi they should get first dibs.

Don’t agree Mll. There will have been people there who were attending their first match of the season, southern based maybe, I don’t see how they should be prioritised over people who’ve been to loads more matches but for some reason couldn’t get there yesterday, wouldn’t be fair, in my opinion

100 percent.

Don’t understand people apologising for our number of support yesterday?
28,000 approx was still pretty amazing due to all the reasons mentioned?

If u even just check just the last dozen years of fa cup semi finals there has rarely been anything close to a complete sell out ?

So why just mention it in the media now at every opportunity?

Because it’s City ! That’s why?

The fight of media bias in this country is the biggest one we have ,and continue to face ,

We have smashed them all on the field ,
And they and their paid scribes cannot hack it !

Liverpool
Manchester United
Arsenal
Chelsea
Spurs
Aston Villa

All clubs that overtly hate us, have all come to Wembley and had their heads served to themselves on a platter !

And I cannot wait for palace to be added to that list , not because of the club or their fans themselves , they are quite alright in the scheme of things , but for that twat Simon Jordan -our number one hater in the media !
Just heard him on the radio talking up palaces chances in the final based on the some incredible performances against us in the last 5-6 seasons ?

Had to re check the stats as that’s not how I remember it ?

Last 13 premier league games v palace ?
Palace victories?
1!

Media fake news at its finest

Maybe a very limited number would be possible. In theory you could be drawn away every game and then get a final ticket without ever going to a fixture. Highly unlikely of course, but it's a possibility.

I believe if it gets down to matchday members there should be some way of rewarding those who have been to more fixtures this season/the semi. Instead of the free for all the club loves in the hope of flogging more memberships.
I'd let match-day members join the scheme, but the cup scheme should just be for convenience rather than giving people priority for finals. I've previously stated that I think it should be invite only for people who are season ticket holders or match day members with a history of regular attendance for cup matches. No more joining a scheme and not attending just so you can get a final ticket. The final criteria, in my opinion, should be fans who have attended all five FA Cup games, followed by four, three, two, and one, regardless of whether they are on the cup scheme or not. If any of the games were played with paper tickets, and the club is unsure whether the ticket was utilised, remove that game from the criteria.

Decent concept. I just think this personal attendance thing they are bringing in for ST holders is something that would be better utilised for cup final tickets and potentially aways.

If somebody went to Wembley yesterday and it was their 20th fixture this season there's potentially an argument they could get one before a season ticket holder. I don't think games attended should just be reflected via the competition they're in. I.e I think a matchday member that has been to more games combined via league, league cup, Champions League etc warrants one over somebody that has just been to a few FA Cup games. Maybe that's just me.

100% agreed.

There were plenty of lads who did the hard yards in 2023 at Leipzig/Dortmund/Munich etc who couldn't get tickets for the CL final.

Tis what it is.

If someone joins cup scheme before the first game is drawn, and we are away every game, well they committed to buying tickets, so they should be rewarded.

We have ~36k SC holders, I reckon at least 10k won't be on the cup scheme, so we could easily offer that amount (whatever the difference is) to members.

Then, when it comes to finals, the criteria can go:

1. SC holders on cup scheme
2. Members on cup scheme
3. SC holders no on cup scheme
4. Members not on cup scheme

Whatever reason the club thinks left us with three and a half huge, visibly obvious - almost obscene looking empty blocks, they have to do some blue sky thinking to try and ensure it never happens again. I was in Block 141 so those empty blocks were opposite me on the other side of the pitch. I'm not exactly rolling in money, but I always go to Wembley. I don't know what the solution is (yes, we all know it's expensive), but I doubt that it's let this or that group have first dibs. Khaldoon will be privately seething and asking his ticket distribution team for ideas. To be fair though, I've seen vast swathes of empty seats in the Chelsea end when we've played them in a semi or a final and to a lesser extent, Arsenal - even though Wembley's a short bus ride for those clubs. With the size of our fan base, the coach we have and the quality of football we are privileged to see almost every season, we shouldn't be talking about this.

I don’t think it’s fair that people who have made the effort to go to the semi should be made to miss out on a final ticket. Loyalty points are abused most of the time with people handing down their tickets to others.

A lot is down to cost, the time it takes and the fact it's not a novelty as it was for the Forest fans. Look at the cup final, train for two is currently £151 and that's with a rail card, two cheap seats is another £90 based on last year so for a dad / mum to take their son / daughter who is over 21 is a minimum £241 and you haven't had any food or drink. You could be looking at £150 per head for a game of football!

Yeah, I’d like to see something like this. The cup schemes are a farce. I’m guilty of not attending the champions league group stage games but that’s because I can’t get the time off work most of the time. I’ve still got the same chance for a final ticket than to who has attended every game. It doesn’t make much sense.

The coach and quality of football is completely and utterly irrelevant. Us being the best in the world or absolute shit doesn't impact on my bank balance. Us being so good has battered many a bank balance to be fair and when we have been as much as we have over the years, a semi final not selling out, but still nearly selling 30k for a fixture in London on a Sunday afternoon isn't too shabby. If it was our first trip there in 30 odd years like Forest we would sell it ten times over. It was posted yesterday that in 15 years we have sold just under a million tickets for wembly. Not bad in that context

How does one game make someone more loyal than someone who has made the effort to go to 30 different games?
