Seat Counters - 2024/25

I actually had this out with a Palace fan a while back in the pub. I didn't know him, we had a mutual friend but as soon as he found out I was a City fan he started piping up, saying Palace were a similar size club as City, or at least would be if we hadn't been bought. I gave him some facts, not least that Palace had never won a trophy and our attendance before being bought out was 20k more than they get now. Needless to say he told me I was aggressive and went and sat down at the other end of the table.
Well done mate. The average attendance in Crystal Palace’s most successful season ever is lower than the average attendance in Manchester City’s worst ever season. Fight the lies.

just reading on holmesdale.net they are expecting us to send a load a back and there will be no city fans there as we have got no fans. fucks sake even crystal palace fans believe this shit now.
Its because we have so many high profile wembley games we struggle to sell SF and charity Shields
.magnifies the empty seats..helps the on going narrative. Problem is we dont have a national casual fan base to fill up the gaps. I assume we will sell out though..heres hoping we do or were fked

Of course we'll sell out. Members helped take up a lot of the slack for the semi-final and snapped up well over 10,000 tickets. There are about 4000 tickets left on the planner and even with FA returns, OSC, 1894, hospitality, etc, returns being added to the pot that may swell to around 7000 but the criteria is still going through season ticket holders only and members haven't had a chance to buy yet. Many members who put the effort in to go the semi-final will be even more desperate to go to the final, even if they're only left with the really expensive Level 2 tickets to pick from.

The Community Shield was sold out. I believe we failed to sell out the semi-final because the seaosoncard base was exhausted. That we took took a creditable 28k-30k to Wembley owes to a very significant growth in City's match-day support.

I don't think we will sell the final out based on seasoncard holders alone but we are going to come close. There are then 140,000 match day members according to City although whether there are 1400 people who can afford to pay £255-£285 for a ticket, I do not know. If there were another 20,000 £50 tickets, we would sell them.

You should be blown away that after 25 plus trips to Wembley so many blues are supporting the side given the sky high ticket prices and travel costs. I am spending £114 on the train fare and £125 on a ticket, and that will be pretty average for City fans. That's on top of the semi-final costs.

This is a genuine question - not a meant to make a point.
How may ST holders have less than 4500 tickets? As the 'standard' ST hasnt been issues for years, these must all be flexi gold. Have I got that right?

There will be quite a few .
If you bought one,say 7 years ago and you only took the gold and weren't in the cup schemes you would be under 4500 points

Do you think we'll sell the L1 and L5 seats out today? I don't think so because I don't expect the numbers in the remaining categories are large enough.

Points you mean?

They only allocate 10 points for a home game, so at 4500 points technically a season ticket holder could have one for 19.5 seasons if they don't do any cup games and never pay for platinum. I'm sure there's quite a few.

Tbf ,I think u will find when u sit down and think about that again u will realise that is actually total bollocks !

Were the Utd finds in the crowd of only 17,000 boycotting as well ?
If you're old enough and actually remember the game and what happened at the first match, there was shit loads of coverage at the time ahead of the replay about Palace fans staying away.

Your second sentence makes no fucking sense by the way. How can someone who turns up at a football match be classed as boycotting it?

This is a day when the seat counters really come to the fore - the last day of Seasoncard holder eligibility - what will fall to members, and if so how many and at what price? Time to stand back and see what unfolds.

I have held a season ticket for years (including at Maine Road). In 2010 due to a serious illness, I had to stop my ticket as I was unable to attend. Managed to get a gold ticket back in 2012, but had to start with no points as City would not let me have the old points back. I have renewed every year since and now have 4400 points. I’m not on the cup scheme and can only get a ticket from 1pm today. Might not be able to get a ticket or forced to pay top price. I’ve been to every home game this season and it pisses me off that others are getting tickets without even attending a single game this season!,

There will be more than you think. The lad I go with has less 4k. He got his season ticket when the club held an amnesty a few years back.
