Seat Counters - 2024/25

its a £35 increase on tickets that sold out quickly vs united. For Istanbul we sold out 690 and 480 euro tickets mostly to people on the cup scheme. The prices are exorbitant but as a fan base I'd still expect us to sell this out

There are people who missed out on the last 2 who will probably pay big money as a one off, but selling out just endorses the prices.

Each to their own. The horse had bolted on prices 12 years ago when Arsenal charged us £62 and it still sold out quick - and people thought buying the tickets and holding a sheet up, accepting the prices by paying them but "protesting" was the way. When it is a high demand game fans pay anything.

We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell.

I thought Palace had sold out?

According to Palace fans on X, they’ve sold out.

From the Palace offical ticket page.

They've got about 18,000 season ticket holders but not all of them have got tickets to the final apparently. Just been a complete free for all.

That’s an extraordinary high number if accurate. The ground only holds 22,000 home fans.

I think that the arse protest is a unfair example to use - the sheet got media attention and the following year the 30£ cap was introduced. U are right though, if demand is there, some will pay anything as we seen for the Istanbul, Gillingham and stoke finals. Because our fan base is Wembleyed out...the high price tiks will sell slowly. I bet palaces don't!

Wasn’t it a reduced allocation though we sold. Around that time we would often take smaller allocations especially for London games.

The Community Shield was sold out. I believe we failed to sell out the semi-final because the seaosoncard base was exhausted. That we took took a creditable 28k-30k to Wembley owes to a very significant growth in City's match-day support.

I don't think we will sell the final out based on seasoncard holders alone but we are going to come close. There are then 140,000 match day members according to City although whether there are 1400 people who can afford to pay £255-£285 for a ticket, I do not know. If there were another 20,000 £50 tickets, we would sell them.

You should be blown away that after 25 plus trips to Wembley so many blues are supporting the side given the sky high ticket prices and travel costs. I am spending £114 on the train fare and £125 on a ticket, and that will be pretty average for City fans. That's on top of the semi-final costs.
I totally agree with everything you said..football prices are ridiculous, it will soon start effecting the 'Red Cartel' even though they have many more London and South East based ''followers'' ...it's undeniable that both Liverpool and the Rags have thousands of fans in London..it's crazy but potentially this is a legacy from when a good few London Clubs had a strong right wing element from the 70's. The demographics of London has changed, naturally it's more difficult for anyone whose 'non white' to happily go along and support their local London club because of the ''baggage'' some of these clubs had....so Utd and Liverpool were a natural easy option (on TV, meeja darlings.. won a lot 70's - 2010's etc)
