Seat Counters - 2024/25

Tis a glorified friendly. Does anybody really care?

Let's worry about winning the cup first anyway.

I'm sure even our ticket office realise the demand isn't as high for that one and won't put such ridiculous criteria in place. It sold out that season there was a boycott, so if they approach it sensibly it could do the same.

Think it sold out against United at the start of this season too. They allowed fans to buy 2 tickets each right from the start so maybe expect something similar if we're playing in it in August

That game selling out caused the club to become arrogant, believing they could charge whatever they wanted and treat "legacy fans" like shit. Now that we're not nearly as good, they've been given a bloody nose because most of the people who bought tickets for that game are now watching Arsenal.

Yep, I agree. They were licking their lips when they saw that thinking they had ready-made replacements lined up.

I'd been saying for years it'd only take a minor buckle and to be competing for European spots instead of being title challengers to start seeing empty seats in the stands with the trajectory of the ticket prices. Some weren't happy with that assessment at the time, but this season I was proved right.

Yes, you have been, and I had suspected this all along as well. The existing ticketing policy is terrible, not only morally but also economically. What we have is built on sand; Pep and the teams brilliance has papered over a lot of cracks in the boardroom. Now that those cracks have been exposed, heads should roll.

As a cost comparison for other games at Wembley, this is what they are doing of the Charlton v Orient play-off final.
There is a different seat allocation for the price band categories in some places too.
Category 1 on Level 2, Block 226 for a FOC is decent. £43.
For our semi I paid £130 in Block 228.

396 tickets left for Bournemouth.

Most blocks are down to singles or low-ish doubles apart from two blocks, 307 has 78 seats, and block 137 has 53 seats.

Guessing. 307 is an official ticket touting partner block, and 137 is a reduced priced ticket school block.

On the tout sites it’s actually cheaper to buy a ticket in the Bournemouth end!

£32.50

I really do fear for the 2nd half of next season with an extra 8000 seats to fill.

There has to be some serious thinking and ticket price adjustments by the directors if they want a 62,000 Etihad stadium to be full as much as possible. With the current ticket prices, that isn't going to happen often.

Empty seats only affect the atmosphere and the enjoyment of the fans, I am assuming the club don't care and wont do anything with regards to ticket prices.

Worst still the more successful we become the more our own club will scalp us with higher rices.

Don't know whether it's just a generic email, but somebody has put in the relocations thread they haven't renewed as the club weren't listening/didn't care about their individual circumstances. Now receiving emails asking why he hasn't renewed.

Brainwashed by the media, every club doesn’t sell out their home games! It seems it's only Man City that gets this pointed out consistently! So we have an average of 56k next season, which will be around 5k more than this. You’d be embarrassed!

I know, let's have a 40k stadium where it's sold out every week, and supply is that high. A March ticket for a European game is what Villa have charged this year and more, £100! Sorry, some fans are weak…

Being a foc,I really don’t get this empty seat agenda, when we were at Maine Road where most seem to recollect that it was a far better atmosphere, there were always empty seats.I don’t care about empty seats, everyone has a reason for not going, money, family etc.the demographics have changed over the years, social media for one.there was a big upheaval when they got rid of physical season cards, has it made any difference no

That pretty much sums up the way the club is being run at the moment.

You would think somebody at a senior level would have spent a few mins wondering why we can’t seem to sell out league games this season - and there should be big fucking alarms going off that there are another 8000 seats per game to sell from January.

Added to which some genius thought it would be a good idea to start threatening fans over how many times they attend or pass tickets to friends and family next season. Madness.

Don’t worry we’ve got an algorithm. The last day FA Cup Final sell out will be considered a success by the suits at the club and the FA. They will say the prices were pitched perfectly to satisfy demand. Cunts
