Seat Counters - 2024/25

Some just refuse to believe the club could do anything sly like this.

Pathetic bootlicking at its finest.
I thought ticket touting was actually illegal (though it is rarely enforced). It would be ironic if people are getting jailed for selling dodgy firesticks (helping people on low incomes) but clubs are actively touting tickets and ripping people off. The club needs to provide transparency.

79 - g9od luck to those eligible tomorrow
I must say I'm absolutely shocked at how quickly these have sold today, been about 75 per window. Especially when you consider that between 20k and 14k points it was selling at roughly 20 per window. Once again, it feels like something isn't quite right

I saw someone getting taken into a van by two police on Saturday about half an hour before kick off. It looked to me like it was for touting, although I could be wrong. Wouldn’t surprise me if this is on the to do list for the Ticketing Compliance Manager along with people selling online or to their mates for face value. Obviously they can’t have that, as it means the dodgy bastards are missing out on the chance to tout the tickets themselves.

My mate put his and his son’s West Ham tickets on the exchange which are next to mine in SSL3. They sold almost instantly. My mate will be getting £26 each from the club. A dad and lad from Scotland sat in the seats and paid £250 from a ticket agency for them.

@Alex - City Matters What are the club saying when this is brought up by you?
Thanks for flagging this. I share everyone's concerns with ticket agencies, and it is increasingly helpful to have solid case studies. I'll message you privately for further information.

The Club do not tend to get drawn into specifics, however they are fairly open about the number of official ticketing partners they maintain. This includes an example that @jrb raised a few months ago, in which Circuit Hospitality (one of the partners) were advertising packages in hospitality with the impression that away fans were allowed if they kept quiet.

I appreciate that supporter concern is much broader than 'official' resale platforms. Shortly before Christmas, I raised the following specific request around away matches and third party sites. Although I have raised the broader concern before, I am very happy to do the same for home matches too.

Maybe people have spent out. I went to the first three and was planning on skipping Juve. It was only at the Fejenoord debacle that I booked to go to Paris. Maybe not in people's budgets. Whereas the people who are not on the cup scheme, I presume, are not regular euro away goers. So it may be their only chance this season. If/when we get to the KOs, I think it will only go to cup scheme members.
But yes - there seems to have been an acceleration.

Everything you said there is correct, I don't have an issue with there being higher demand whatsoever.

What I have an issue with is sales slowly going down at 20 odd per window and then all of a sudden it's 75 per window, that absolutely never happens

Think it's due to the weekend. Effectively it's been stuck on 14k & Cup scheme since Friday and now it's anyone on the cup scheme...it's quite a lot of people all eligible on one day unlike last week.

As soon as you put a ticket on the exchange for the big matches the club will purchase it and then hand it onto one of their accredited partners.
They will be getting a percentage of the mark up.
Don’t know if they do with some but definitely not all, I’ve certainly bought exchange tickets at the Matchday prices.

Tickets for away games should not under any circumstances be given to any third party platforms. It’s shouldn’t even be a thing. The club needs to knock it on the head sharpish and those tickets should go into the points pot. It’s an absolute piss take by the club.
