It still won't be enough for Marvin.Just for the record. I dont think you've explained yourself in any great detail. Hahaha.

I’m just waiting to see if Marvin requires further explanation!FFS Marvin - give it a rest will you. The Villa game was showing as sold out on City's website for months on end. No fucker could buy a ticket for it even if they wanted to. Then all of a sudden hundreds and hundreds of tickets all grouped together in several 3rd tier blocks appeared on the planner 2 or 3 weeks ago. Where do you think they came from? Bear in mind that these were clearly not season ticket holders putting them back on the exchange because as has been explained time and time again, these tickets were all together.
No-one's denying that in addition to that plenty of fans also listed their ticket on the exchange. What we're saying is that City are creating a false narrative that certain games are sold out when they're clearly not, and if those chunks of tickets all grouped together had been available for members to buy when the tickets first went on sale to members last summer then some or most of them would've shifted back then. But when they suddenly appear on the planner - and then were bizarrely taken back off the planner last week - just a few weeks before a twice rearranged match then very few fans are going to snap them up at that point, expecially at those prices.
I’m just waiting to see if Marvin requires further explanation!
Tell you summat mate - it's a good job that it's a quiet day here at work so far because I feel I've already spent too much time engaging with him this morning!I’m just waiting to see if Marvin requires further explanation!
I’m taking Marvellous’ contribution as top notch, straight out of the Bill de Nero school, WUMing.Tell you summat mate - it's a good job that it's a quiet day here at work so far because I feel I've already spent too much time engaging with him this morning!
Your post sums it up nicely. Many fans seem to be just blindly supporting the club position on ticketing, as opposed to using their own eyes and appreciating what's happening.FFS Marvin - give it a rest will you. Yep. It also doesn't help that they put all games on sale before the season has started. That causes various problems plus it means they've already decided the match day prices for each game before the season has started so they couldn't drop the prices for last night even if they wanted to because that then penalises those fans who had already committed and bought tickets for the game last summer.Your post sums it up nicely. I think maybe some of the disconnect in the fan base is between season ticket holders and matchday purchasers, it's a completely different existence! The two groups have very different issues.
I do agree and appreciate that lots of season ticket holders, even though they're personally sorted for tickets, still want to see a full ground with vocal supporters, and they campaign hard re ticket transfers, matchday sales policies and criteria, and most importantly, pricing. Some others don't care.
There needs to be a wholesale change in club mentality, right now it's "maximize revenue", it needs to be "fill the ground", and accept some tolerable dent in matchday revenue to do that. Squeezing the last £ out of fans is such short term thinking.
I think the hypocrisy of some (zero attendance requiring) season card holders attacking fans who took flexi-goods to guarantee seats on a regular basis hasn’t helped the vibe on here. (I’m not talking about the exploitative set up fees that everyone opposes).Your post sums it up nicely. I am summat because I want you to state your case rather than merely asserting it. Perhaps that's how it works on Bluemoon but in my world it doesn't work like that. If you have a hypothesis, you evidence it and then argue for it.Tell you summat mate - it's a good job that it's a quiet day here at work so far because I feel I've already spent too much time engaging with him this morning!
I hope the new regulator gets involved in ticket pricing rip offs. Some of the money from the broadcast deal should be ringfenced to subsidise tickets at a reasonable level. The PSR rules need to be adjusted to let clubs cut prices without being penalised on revenues. Charging £71 is a disgrace for bog standard tickets.Your post sums it up nicely. My mate works for a football club and I think it's as simple as this:i wonder if the ticket agencies have to pay a fixed fee for the tickets whether they sell or not... would sort of explain why the clubs not arsed about empty seats...
The crowd vs Villa was an embarrassment to City. In the absence of an alternative evidence, I think it was the result of a short-notice fixture rearrangement from the weekend combined with sky-high match-day pricing, preventing the acquisition of tickets by match-day fans and the effective transfer of seats from seasoncard holders to matchday fans.i wonder if the ticket agencies have to pay a fixed fee for the tickets whether they sell or not... would sort of explain why the clubs not arsed about empty seats...
It makes me wonder who is going to fill those extra seats when the new stand opens. Where are those fans coming from? Admittedly I’ve not read anything on pricing for said stand, but I’d imagine they are the same as current prices?i know its nothing to do with pep but maybe he could come out and say he wants the atmosphere to be top because it helps the team and not good having empty seats, whats going to happen when the extension is completed are they going to close it because other parts of the ground havnt sold out, price it right and every seat would be sold out next season, i wouldnt have paid £70/£80 for last night but i would have paid £40/50 and took the family
Tourists mate, last night would have sold out if we were in a title scrap with liverpool, but the club are banking on success every season to keep the tourist income rolling in and it does not work that way, were going to have dry seasons when we win nothing so when this happens the tourists move onIt makes me wonder who is going to fill those extra seats when the new stand opens. Do you actually bother readling mine and everyone else's posts? On more than one occasion I've given an explanation. Oh, and if you seriously believe that the club are offering an average of less than seventy tickets per game to each of their reselling partners then you need to have a word with yourselfI am summat because I want you to state your case rather than merely asserting it. The crowds bore all the hallmarks of a hastily rearranged game with a large amount of seasoncard no shows that were not fully replaced by matchday fans because of the pricing. If you think there's evidence in there of huge ticket returns from agencies i.e., > 550, show how. That would be an interesting comment. More so than personal nonsense which might amuse some people but it is ultimately very boring.
You might have good grounds to disbelieve the club about the numbers of seats involved in ticket reselling but you are shy about evidencing it. When you are ready, post your explanation. If it makes sense, you'll win support for it.
There's absolutely no chance we will fill all the additional seats unless there is a significant change in pricing strategy.i know its nothing to do with pep but maybe he could come out and say he wants the atmosphere to be top because it helps the team and not good having empty seats, whats going to happen when the extension is completed are they going to close it because other parts of the ground havnt sold out, price it right and every seat would be sold out next season, i wouldnt have paid £70/£80 for last night but i would have paid £40/50 and took the family, the idea of filling surplus seats to tourists at inflated costs is fine until the team hit a dry patch then they bugger off elswhere creating the problem of empty seats
