Seat Counters - 2024/25

It makes me wonder who is going to fill those extra seats when the new stand opens. Where are those fans coming from? Admittedly I’ve not read anything on pricing for said stand, but I’d imagine they are the same as current prices?
There are quite a lot of families who’ve been denied getting season cards together. Interest may have fallen with a mediocre season but there will still probably be thousands of Blues who would take up affordable season cards in the expanded North Stand, if they were available.

There are over 100 seats in that block alone. I'm not having anyone tell me that isn't a block the club have given to a re seller and then it hasn't sold. The evidence is right there for anyone to see. Or maybe some people just like being contrary.

Was just about to count the seats in that image and post the same. Thanks for doing the hard work.

Yes, there will be people that relisted on the exchange etc, but visually the optics of that are far worse and it looks horrific.

City instead of focussing on making ST Holders have to use their season ticket for 16 out of 19 games, how about you make the ticket tout partners you are in bed with be forced to do the same?!!! Hypocritical twats!!

The overwhelming majority of posters see these empties as agency / tout returns.

The more delusional part of this discussion are the posters who won’t admit many thousands of season card holders have overwhelmed demand on the the ticket exchange with their listings. Thats’s left thousands of empties scattered around the ground.

There may well be good reasons for this including the bank holiday weekend, excessive match day ticket prices, mid week short notice rearranged game and spoilt / apathetic fans.

We apparently have agreements with multiple ticket agencies as well as Viagogo. There is is no way these agencies will not be getting blocks of tickets as part of the deal. The club has to be totally transparent about how these arrangements work. I don't have a problem with the club trying to maximise corporate revenues but it can't be done at the expense of our hard core local support who are not as wealthy. It is a disgrace that the PL board is fixated on stopping inward investment into clubs but does nothing about this sort of authorised touting. The sooner we have independent regulation the better.

The biggest issue for me is the club not releasing more season tickets, the gold and platinum season tickets was a joke.
However our club has been built on loyalty from the 70’s through to present day, the junior blues gave us younger fans in the 70’s that sense of loyalty to our club.
It was hard enough being a blue through united’s succesfull years. But that sense of loyalty has always been there amongst us all, cos of our love for the club.
My personal preference is I want to sit with my 3 younger sons and 3 grandsons in the new stand, we have at present got 2 season tickets . I want to sit with them until the day I die, the club don’t get it. The match day experience is different for season ticket holders compared to so called day trippers or tourists, if we miss out this time around then there’s little chance of enjoying our time watching city together in the future. There’s very little chance we’re gonna buy tickets at the present match day prices.

There should be anther 4,000 season tickets released when the new stand opens.
So different from the 90’s when the club offered season ticket holders discount for buying multiple seasons ahead because we were skint.

CTID.

Great post, in the dark days the only thing that kept me going was our support, the owners we have now are destroying our traditional fan base.

As a spotty kid I was proud as punch to be a Junior Blue, my old man couldn't wait to enrol me. However, having just missed the Mercer/Allison glory days, apart from the odd cup run we were shit until well into my 40's....and I've never forgiven him for that :)

Luckily he also enrolled me as a Junior member at LCCC, so I consoled myself in the summer watching the likes of Barry Wood, Harry Pilling, Frank Hayes, Flat Jack..Sir Clive..Hughsey & an Indian Engineer called Farokh.

Battering neutrals has certainly impacted on the touts ability to shift agency tickets.
Needs to happen again then. A few more such incidents coupled with a large scale disturbance in a stand that gets too nasty for the stewards to fancy getting involved is exactly what we need to force the club to review their disgusting ticketing strategy

Not really.

We can have a hostile atmosphere without cowardly attacks on neutrals.

327 definitely has a lot of club offsite hospitality, 328 could be similar.

Unless you work at the club it is impossible to know, could be the clubs own offsite, other ticket agencies, staff tickets (e.g. academy raffle) or a mixture plus others.

The resales on the exchange may have 3 or 4 together not 70 or so like there.

The game got moved twice and was brought forward 6 days at short notice, and half the people where off work yesterday on holiday, so there was never going to be a great attendance. When they are moved they are normally brought forward by more that 19/20 hours, and this was 2.5 weeks' notice.

I’d sooner have a situation where blues are attacking gobby neutrals to deter the club from selling tickets to the highest bidder than one where large pockets of rags or dippers or, next season God forbid, Leeds are attacking blues in our own ground because it’ll come to that given the wrong set of circumstances

The people who are attacking neutrals would be running away if it was a Utd or Leeds firm.

What we need to do is grow our fan base with diehard Blues.

I was giving out leaflets and a steward took one. Told him it affects him as well, they have to dela with away fans in home end
