Seat Counters - 2024/25

The empty seats on Sunday will yet again have us laughed at by the rest of football, giving the Talkscript scriptwriters days of content to write the snide lines for brainless morons like Agbonlohor to read off an autocue.

But shame on those running City that have managed to completely fuck up our support.

There shouldn’t be an empty seat for any home PL games or semi finals - but the clowns making pricing decisions have somehow managed it !!

Sunday is what happens when you alienate and dis-engage our support. Our board lost the plot the minute tourists filled Wembley for the charity shield when legacy blues boycotted it and thought they had cracked it.

I’m not sure how it is these days, but I know for a fact in the early days of Mansour ownership that those in charge of pricing at City were terrified when attendances were poor for certain fixtures - and the nervousness of explaining why they had fucked it.

Hopefully it’s still the same, and the current situation will see some strung up by their testicles when having to explain to Abu Dhabi why we are laughing stock and being portrayed as plastic supporters by the UK media.
What a load of garbage…..we couldn’t sell out for the charity shield and thank goodness for the tourists for boosting the attendance at that match…..any City fan that wanted to go could have purchased a ticket.

If anything it’s the constant negativity drummed up by our own fans that is influencing City fans to not go on Sunday (or providing some kind of excuse for them)

Towards the end of their successful period United were not selling out semi final or charity shield games. In 2011 they did but there wasn't a Manchester person hardly in their end. We sold out the last two charity shields and the semi final last year. It's familiarity inducing lack of enthusiasm and pricing I think. I will be there.

Oh an no Haaland. He is a superstar and draws many one offs and the youngsters.

Does anyone other than a handful of people on here really give a shit.
The usual dippers and rags on social media from their mums bedrooms 99% of whom will never have attended a live game, we're going but I'd never call anyone who doesn't, attending football games isn't mediatory it's entertainment if you've got the spare money and want to go fair enough if you don't that's fair enough as well. I won't be taking much notice of trolls who think a season ticket comes with triple A batteries.

Real Madrid and Barcelona definitely wouldn’t sell 28k for a semifinal at a ground 200 miles away.
Great point, everything requires context.

Expecting to sell 34,000 tickets almost every year is madness. Okay it’s great for circumstances like Forest, Villa and Palace where they aren’t often in contention for trophies but not when you’ve been there over 30 times.

We’re the only club in this country who are in this position. Playing a semi final 200 miles away in a stadium with absolutely no novelty value. London clubs in the same scenario distance wise wouldn’t fill it. At least once Chelsea haven’t sold out a semi final and Wembley is in the same city. United and Liverpool have far more southern fans to take up the slack. Newcastle etc would sell their allocations for a while then hit the same issues. Midlands clubs have less distance to travel but would probably have the same issue.

In a rhetorical situation I even think Rangers and Celtic would struggle if they were playing in the same stadium against teams they have nothing to prove against that distance from Glasgow.

Also let’s not forget about some of the ticket prices. £150, £100, £70 tickets are all high for a semi final and will add up to an expensive weekend for a lot of families.

And then there’s the kick off times, with fuck all help from the FA for the club furthest away from Wembley with the schedule.

And we could be back there in three weeks time.

It’s actually hard to believe people are struggling to grasp why it’s not sold out TBH.

Not sure if this is new but there are 2 massive groups of seating available in 304/306 on the official site for the Bournemouth game. 159 in total

Im sure it has been sold out all season

Just purchased 2 for someone who was at the 1981 cup final, messaged me and said how the fuck can you buy tickets on City's website, we don't help ourselves, and they should open up some of the 45 pound tickets, stupid how they restrict sales, i had to pay 130 quid for an adult and a junior. They should keep them on sale until saturday suprising how many people make last minute decisions

City used to have a fanatical following, getting to the cup final meant something, something has been lost along the way
Getting to a cup final was a big event because we rarely got there.
Nothings been lost.
It's a shithole. The car parks are shitholes as the thousands of Blues who spent hours stuck on pink car park will testify.
Both inside and outside the shithole the food and beer are overpriced crap.
The trains are shit, pricing and times.
The kick off is a shite time.
Everything about the trip and the place is shit.
If it was twice in 20 years like Forest this would have been sold out within days.

These comments especially from @Southportctid are laughable. Suddenly I'm not a supporter because I am missing a semi final, fuck me, I dont think I'll sleep tonight.
