Seat Counters - 2024/25

Slight aside: the two FA tickets that my mate offered me, and then I didn't hear about, have literally just been offered to me again. I've actually said (as I'm worried that they are going to be level 2) that I don't need them but if he can't return them I'll take them and sell them on. So this will be a little insight into what happens if someone wants to return a ticket now.

I would say it's the software, create the impression the tickets are running out people then panic buy, it will be an algorithm
The £285’s weren’t shifting at all so it seems they made it look like all the £255’s had gone to get the £285’s going. Then a couple of hundred £255’s reappeared once a couple of dozen £285’s went. Seems unethical to try and coerce people into buying more expensive tickets.

that would also explain what appear to be 'glitches' when blocks appear to be sold, and then suddenly re-appear, if there is something like that running which is always trying to put the most expensive tickets front and centre

Got to admire the dedication to this thread. Went on about 8am and gone back on now thinking there wouldn't be much to catch up on and about 8 or 9 pages behind. Hahaha.

645,

Going up, we're going down, we're going up, we're going down.

I wonder how much we seat counters are influencing this algorithm and have to take responsibility.

Looks like we might be a few hundred short from a sell out, the media will no doubt spin this on us, but it's an absolute fantastic effort considering the prices.

I'll be there with 33,000 fellow blues, and I can't wait
the thing is it would be easy for the club to avoid that negative PR, by just taking them off sale, putting the sold out signs up and just giving them to ticket partners or whatever

A bit of a stretch to believe the TO has a complicated Algorithm element designed to entice Window Shoppers to buy expensive tickets.
That would be giving credit where Credit isn't deserved.

There's still time for them to do that. It's only Tuesday so they could give it to close of play tomorrow and see how many are remaining. They'll sell one way or another for me - be it to fans through the website or to their ticket partners, etc

There won't be any negative publicity. City have sold 33,000 seats in our 3rd visit to Wembley this season and everyone can see the prices, and where the remaining seats are.

I would have thought the Club would keep some tickets in reserve for Sponsors, Partners, possible sponsors, Family etc, and if they are not wanted will be put on sale. Pretty important to make sure investors, possible investors are courted Iwot.
That undoubtedly happens.
I used to work for a company that sponsored Chelsea. 2 (TWO) days before I was able to buy 4 tickets together for the 1st leg of the Champions League semi final 2012.
There is always an exec or some customer who might need a ticket at the last minute,

In this case it it a bit worse because City are not actually incentivised to sell all of the tickets as they dont get the gate receipts.
And everyone HAS had a chance to buy now.

33 £175 seats have just appeared in blocks 104 and 105! More returns I'm guessing

Getting snapped up quickly! So fans are still lurking and hoping to bag cheaper tickets than those rip-off £285/£255 seats

All gone already. Shit loads of demand for tickets still - if the price is right (and I'm not saying £175 is the right price but it's better than £285/£255)

I wonder if the club are moving players families and guests up to level 2?
Would make sense if they did.
