Seat Counters - 2024/25

It’s appalling the ticket prices!

The FA have been clever (greedy) though…

With making those middle tier tickets £255 and £285 it’s got everyone talking about those and what a disgrace they are!
Nobody’s now talking about £75, £125, £175 being too expensive for a 90 minute game of football!

Therefore, they’ve got away with increasing those first 3 tiers this year and will likely increase them again next year.
I got a £75 ticket and feel that was okay for a final. But £125 and up I think is silly money for football.
Very good point. And if fans are desperate for a ticket they can still be sucked in. Witness yesterday morning. All that remained were the £285 and £255 seats but then 30-odd £175 seats appeared in Level 1. Despite those being extortionately priced as well, fans who were clearly hoping for some cheaper tickets to be returned snapped them up in an instant when normally they may have been reluctant to pay that price for them.

Yes and I think that’s an algorithm doing that knowing human behaviour. I wonder how it intends to sell the last 250?! Suddenly drop to 99 perhaps.

Yeah you’re right! fans are being conned into believing it’s sold out, at least the £175 tickets, then the club/fa pop a few more on to make/brainwash people into believing that £175 is a bargain after nearly settling for £255 or £285!

Currently there are 241 left on the planner. While that figure seems to fluctuate a bit from time to time perhaps due to algorithms or whatever, it's not going up massively by the hundreds like it did the other day so I think what is now showing is pretty much all that is left, give or take maybe a couple of dozen or so. If that assumption is correct - and I could be totally wrong of course! - then I expect them to all go either today or tomorrow

Most I’ve paid is £250 for the World Cup semi final in Moscow. That was the cheapest ticket. Had a final ticket for £400 (also the cheapest ticket) but got my money back when we got knocked out in the semi.
My ticket for the final of Euro 24 in Berlin was £85. In fact, I went to all seven England games in that tournament and my outlay was just over £300 which I think is pretty good.
£125 is the most I’ve paid for a City game. Could have got cheaper but I wanted row 1 in the top tier. I’m pretty sure my Istanbul ticket was only £50.

Would have gone with wife and nephew but £750 is beyond a joke.

I'd have spent the whole time feeling that I'd been ripped off.

Watching on the telly.

KDB hat trick incoming, you heard it here first.

Most Ive paid is 180Euros for the European Cup final in 2021 and 2023. With flights/hotels and other costs those games were near the limit of what Id pay - the magnitude of them meant it was a pill I was willing to swallow, alongside taking my sons as well. I was lucky enough to be able to afford it and I think Ive only just paid off my Istanbul bill tbh.

If you are lucky enough to be able to afford those prices, then its fortunate for you. But for the average fan ticket prices remain a key issue with sadly so many being priced out. £255 and £285 for the FA Cup Final for just a seat ticket is sadly exploiting the emotional investment fans have with their team - frankly its a disgusting amount to charge.

I've just had a nosey on that Palace forum. The Newcastle fan is still trying to sell 2 Club Wembley tickets in the Palace end for £400 each (down from £500 and possibly £600 before that). I'm not sure what you get for that but I'm guessing it's a bit more than just one of those £285/£255 Level 2 seats.

But....there's also another poster who is selling a match ticket near the halfway line and 2 nights - Friday 16th and Saturday 17th - in a double room in the Travelodge London Wembley High Road. £1000 all in. So I just had a look at the Travelodge website and a double room in that hotel for those 2 nights is currently only coming out at £250:
https://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels.../2025&rooms[0][adults]=2&rooms[0][children]=0
That's cheaper than I expected considering it's close to Wembley and it includes the night of the final itself, but if that's the case then he/she is effectively asking £750 for the match ticket. I'm not sure who they support but their location on the forum is Croydon so it sounds like it's a Palace fan. While I don't know how much they've paid for the hotel room and ticket combined, on the face of it it smacks to me of blatant profiteering. If it is and it's a Palace fan trying to do it to another Palace fan, that's shameful. It's post number 535 on here:

I've sat in club Wembley for the villa cup final - got a freebie.
The seats are exactly the same as the others. You do have a bit of a nicer bar area, which I think is similar to 9320 that we have with nice tables to sit at.
There is also a big room where there is sort of an after party but that's not standard with the tickets and probably invite only.

The prices are the sort of prices you'd pay where there's something with overwhelming demand and limited supply. I would've gladly have paid £1000 to get a legit ticket for Istanbul. Our problem is that Wembley visits are pretty common these days and we don't (yet) have a wide enough fan base to pile in on these ridiculous tickets. The irony is that a lot of the fans that are having to pay over the odds for these "posh seats" would probably far rather be in among the £50 seats where the atmosphere will be a lot better.

So we could just end this monumental seat count with a slow crawl across the line tonight when everyone’s asleep.

Or is there one more twist in the tale here? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised. The algorithm revelation has knocked all of our confidence. Seat counters are always learning.

See someone's selling a city end ticket for £55 on there ... bargain!

There will be more returns today.

A slight aside.
I bought for my nephew a ticket for the Bournemouth match.
He is on my friends and family. When I try to transfer it, the transfer page is blanked out.
I have not been sent an electronic ticket. The email confirmation says.

'Your tickets for the match will be loaded to your seasonal mobile pass'

I don't see the point of that as it was an additional ticket.
Can tickets only be transferred nearer the time?

As a follow up - I WAS sent the ticket electronically.
Lesson - check all your emails.
My bad.

183 showing. Is it genuine sales, algorithms, City taking some off the planner, or people sticking them in baskets for shits and giggles? Or maybe it's a combination of all 4 of those things!
Amateur seat counters baskets, it will start rising in a few minutes

Christ - are we not selling out an FA Cup Final now??!
We are, we sold our allocation..this is the extra allocation and its the last few £285.00 txts available - No surprise there, add £50 - £120.00 on top Travel / food ..it's a very expensive domestic cup final.... people need to also understand there is a huge salary discrepancy between Greater Manchester wages and London and the South East - the London clubs in general have deeper pockets and do not have to travel..and can have their butties at home before strolling on a local train / tube...very different financial implications - we have done well selling our allocation out ..again .. let that be known
