I live in the area , Southamptons fan base has grown dramatically in the last few years , they could have sold 40k plus v Leeds in play off final , they will sell out easily

If we only sell between 3 and 4 thousand tomorrow, we wont be taking many to Wembley.
Because there is no other criteria they can use as they have gone through all the categories, unless they let you buy extra on top of the 3 at present.

Just my hunch based on sales so far and last seasons turn out
 
The plan graphic is misleading. It makes it look like the majority of seats in blocks 502, 503, 504 etc are cat 3, when in reality only 1/4 are the lower price and 3/4 are cat 2. There are far too many expensive seats. The cheap ones are selling.1000032871.webp

I'm doing a more conservative approximation. 9 blocks unopened which range from 600 to 1000 seats each. Plus the 800 or so Level 2 seats that aren't on sale yet.

Also worth noting that we're likely to recieve 3,000 extra from the FA.

How many do you think we have sold today and you also have to factor in that the supporters club members are not allocated individual seats and can select anywhere in the ground as long as they were allocated one by their branch.
They could buy from 4pm today.
So there could have been potentially 27000 seats onsale today between the loyalty points scheme and supporters club.
Obviously they have not opened some of the blocks,so not all 27000 went onsale.
Im guessing about 10000 sold today.
Southampton have also only put half the blocks onsale apparently and sold less than 5000 today,allegedly.
 
So a day 1 seat count analysis from back in the studio: the day started on a wave of optimism with sales predictions ranging from 25 to 35k based on recent results. Worrying news from the supporters clubs coupled with a low queue for the first sales window triggered a growing wave of pessimism with some experienced counters immediately revising their predictions. The negativity was offset by the great elephant in the room: the sale of extra tickets on day two. How many have held back from buying? Will we see a surge of buyers tomorrow morning? The first massive sign, like the exit poll at a general election, will by the queue at 10am. If this is in the 25k+ range then that will signify a late sales surge. If it’s much lower than that then we are in for a disappointing day where the “open sale now!” calls get louder by mid afternoon.

Just checked the Saints website and tickets were only on sale today to ST holders who had previously purchased an away ticket this season so I’d guess the majority of their ST holders only qualify tomorrow

Yes, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster already. My guess is that the 1pm window tomorrow will be busier than the 10am window. It’s certainly a huge unknown as to how many are holding back until they can buy extras.

Other curveballs include OSC members only being able to purchase their tickets from 4pm today - maybe some haven’t bought yet so that should further eat into sales once they do.

I’ll be back tomorrow. Got Teams meetings at 10 and 10.30 so will miss the opening act but I’ll be here after that.

What a Seat Counting Season it’s been whatever happens. So unpredictable with the highs and lows. It’s what keeps us coming back I suppose.
