Seat Counters 25/26

if anyone can work out the amount of tickets we've sold in that timeframe I'll be very impressed
Excluding 2 Spurs League games, the 2 covid FA Cup Semis with no fans and the Spurs LC final where it was only 2000 official fans that 27 games with full allocations

Lets say on average we've sold 30,000 tickets per match (selling every final but maybe less for some semis and some charity shields, then that would 810,000 tickets (812,000 if you include that Spurs LC final)

So again lets say 810,000 tickets at an average of £60 a tickets (some semis have cheaper tickets, prices were a bit lower back in 2011 etc...) that's £48.6 Million at least contributed to the FA/Wembley from City fans

we havnt sold 30000 per match, charity shields against Leicester and Arsenal were sub 20k, lots of charity shields have been way below 30k

So why not move people like me who have bought a cheap seat into the more expensive seats at the front so we don't look like twats.
Seriously?

Logistical nightmare and not everyone would want to move.

It will be the FA who look like twats, not us.

I generally don't have an isse with Semi's at Wembley now.

But more can be done to announce dates quicker and with earlier ko time in line with transport options for Clubs some distance away.

Too many expensive tickets too when really, they could all be £30, with exceptions for posh and corporate packages etc.

The FA would much rather sell 2 tickets at £90 each than 5 at £30

Just the 31st trip to the new Wembley for City this Saturday And that's not including when Spurs played there!

In fairness, i think on this one the club from the outstead did more than they did b4. very relaxed criteria. Supporters clubs know the score, the fact is members have requested less tiks than the last final. Anybody who wanted a tik could have one, ot was well advertised...im not sure on this occasion what more they could do? Perhaps humiliating adverts on talk sport...non of us wants that again. Just my opinion, but would be interested in what more could of been done?
giving match day members an incentive that they will get priority for the final, over match day members who didn't go

I got a Final ticket last season, a very expensive one( not moaning), but thought it a bit unfair that those who wouldnt be seen dead at a semi final, get first choice.
Whichever criteria is used, some will be unhappy.
Someone on here called be a mug for filling the coffers of the FA with semi final money.

Final only goers are real glory hunters-;)

In all honesty, I just fucking hate the Wembley experience and have done for a while.

Went to all the games back in the early days because I wanted to witness special moments with my mum, but the last one we went to was the Sunderland final in 2014. Tough day getting down there, an even longer night on the way back, and dickheads all round me during the match (including one bloke who missed all four goals because he couldn't go 45 mins without a pint or a piss and spent the entire game getting up and down).

Went down in 2024 for old times sake. We had an even worse experience that day. A huge stress getting down there because of traffic, a huge stress getting to the stadium, a huge stress getting in the stadium, then three escalators and two lifts broke in our bit of the ground so my COPD-suffering mum had to do seven flights of stairs. We pretty much missed kick-off, with a load of other blues as well, because of everything that went wrong.

Then once we were in our seats we were surrounded by racist dickheads shouting abuse at Rashford and Onana all game.

Just can't be arsed with it anymore. The cost of petrol, the cost of food, the cost of hotels, the cost of tickets, the time it takes getting there and back in the car (or the rush to get to Euston if you've gone on the train). It's a shite stadium and a shite experience. When it was all new and exciting and I was still a teenager and my mum was in her late 40s/early 50s, the novelty overshadowed the problems - but not anymore. The FA can stick it.

I may be wrong with my count but I get this (excluding covid and Spurs games) since 2011 …

6x FA Cup finals
8x FA Cup semifinals
6x Carabao
7x Community Shield

So 27 games but depends on the allocations. If we say 33k for semis, then I would say 31k avg = 250k roughly. Carabao is 32k each and always sells out so 192k. Same for FA Cups so another 192k. Shield games avg probably 28k because it’s always a decent oppo so 196k.

Total 830k as a conservative estimate.
The real kicker is if you think about it being a 400 mile round trip. That means City fans have travelled 332 million miles going to Wembley in the last 15 years

In addition to the nigh on 1,000,000 tickets sold, £50m revenue to the FA/Wembley and 332 million miles travelled...

19,500,000 Pints sunk
500,000 Jerk Chickens - with the subsequent boost to bog roll sales
150Kg of cocaine
2,500,000 bifters
1225 divorces
500 arrests
3.2 million gallons of boiled piss

Our contribution to the brewing industry, the cartels, the courts, the chicken farmers, the exchequer and the boiled piss industry cannot be ignored.

I salute you all.

My mate just phoned me to tell me the hospital phoned him to say there has been a surgery cancellation meaning they were bringing his planned operation forward to Friday morning. Can I transfer his ticket for Saturday's game to my grandson ? His ticket is for a over 65 my grandson is 10 years old.

yes, it won't matter

I would imagine so as they’re both presumably concessions
