I see the official attendance against Bournemouth is given as 52,387 out of a current limit of 52,900. Admittedly, 10 minutes from the end it looked half empty but that's another story.
The car park we were in was nearly empty so made for a quick getaway so, long live the early leavers, I say.I see the official attendance against Bournemouth is given as 52,387 out of a current limit of 52,900. Admittedly, 10 minutes from the end it looked half empty but that's another story.
Yeah we were saying that it seemed quite before and after the game in terms of volume of people. There were a lot of empty seats if you looked around. The car park we were in was nearly empty so made for a quick getaway so, long live the early leavers, I say.
I was dropped off in Prestwich less than 50 minutes after the game ended and I always wait until the players are heading down the tunnel and have a 3/4 mile walk to the car park.

I wondered if the independent car parks might have shot themselves in the foot a bit. The last time we used our usual one there was a concert on at the Coop and so we got there a bit early to ensure we got a space. I am guessing that some of the other footie regulars arrived too late and it was full so have now found other places further out to park and now don’t bother risking the original one, meaning the car parks aren’t getting as busy when it’s just the football crowd.Yeah we were saying that it seemed quite before and after the game in terms of volume of people. From leaving the ground at 6:30, we got home at 10:30. Sounds long (it is) but we walk about 15 minutes (1 mile) to our car parked at Hancocks then usually takes about 30 mins to get on the motorway out of Manchester but this time we were on it in 10 minutes.
For a 4:30 ko we usually get home around 11:30. My point being, it didn’t seem busy at all!
If there's only 40k there I'd argue that it's not "Cheap Enough".This old chestnut?
It really isn't worth selling a ticket for a quid.
They near enough would sell out, and most wouldn't turn up.
It will be cheap enough I reckon and over 40k there.
The timing is a bit shite though I agree.
The walk round by the players and staff is something I always look forward to, whatever the result.Stay to the end and beat the crowds
I'm aware, I'm talking about what they'll "probably" charge for the Brentford league cup gameCup scheme payments taken on Monday 3/11 were for the Bayer Leverkusen game.
Not for a while. Wycome in 2021 off the top of my head? When was the last time we got 30k or lower?
Kids paying a quid to see Haaland in the league cup may be disappointed as he's unlikely to feature on the team sheet.I think you may be underestimating the Haaland factor. He is a global superstar and gold dust at the box office.

However you only need to look at slow ticket sales for both the Napoli and Dortmund games to see how people feel about midweek cup games currently, compared with the last few seasons. How many emails do you keep receiving telling you that you can buy extra tickets for these games, cause I've had loads, and I certainly wasn't getting them a few years ago.
Sales have been getting worse and worse, and it the club think people are going to be rushing to pay 25 quid to come and watch then they're going to be in for a shock

True. But the Haaland factor is huge for City now with kids across the world. We have to get the balance right with pricing. The age profile of our fanbase is getting younger.Kids paying a quid to see Haaland in the league cup may be disappointed as he's unlikely to feature on the team sheet.
I'm not disputing the Haaland factor which I'm sure is huge. I'm just saying that for the league cup game against Brentford I don't think it will be a factor in selling tickets. And on the age profile, it may well be getting younger but do you have any evidence for this statement?True. But the Haaland factor is huge for City now with kids across the world. Lots more young faces in my stand, East Stand Upper. Also at some away games. I think any crowd over 40,000 would be good for Brentford. I hope they do kids for a quid. We need all the younger fans we can get. The 7.30pm kick off will help families as well. I think the dire transport is a huge problem at night matches as well as pricing.I'm not disputing the Haaland factor which I'm sure is huge. Was in East Upper on Sunday, and would agree. In fact some sounded very young judging by the sounds, screeches and chanting coming down from the seats above!Lots more young faces in my stand, East Stand Upper. Also at some away games. If they're regulars then presumably they're ST holders in which case they're listed as sold. Only the clubs (that's every club) know how many walk through the turnstiles, besides the odd occasion like NUFC or ourselves releasing details about cancelling STs that have never been used (or misused in NUFCs case) then we'll never know. I suspect it would make interesting reading.I'm not sure what happened on Sunday but the row behind me in the south stand there were at least eight empty seats, at least three of those are regulars that are normally there every game.
