Seat Counters 25/26

Where have all the tourists, glory hunters, and general football fans gone that Soriano & Co have been chasing and prioritising during the last decade of success?

We all said they wouldn’t last when City stopped winning the title and trophies.

Let’s see what Soriano & Co come up with to fill an extra 8000 seats later this year and next season.

Ive said it a million times, the club/sorriano have royally fucked up.
They could have secured the next generation of young blues, i live in a suburb where 20 years ago you never saw a blue shirt on a kid, now every training session i see there are more city kits on kids than red ones.
I know of blokes who have moved to the area who are big fans of other clubs, boro, cov, lad from northern ireland, a geordie, etc. guess who there 9 year old sons support???? Yep, City.
Even a big red, whos 2 older sons support utd, youngest … a blue.

Thats a micro example of what could/should have been our future support locked in for decades.
But no, that prick sorriano flashed his cleavage at the tourists.

What a fuck up.

Ive been told from someone who would very much know, sorriano has very little time for “us lot”.

I don’t go last night full of a cold and I also missed Chelsea as it was fucking freezing and I preferred to be watch it on the telly, few factors I think - the football is not amazing to watch, cost, we have won it all, we don’t have enough young fans in the ground creating an atmosphere (this is down to pricing) and also transport. Getting home from City even to town (I live on Deansgate) is a pain In the arse. I don’t want to be sandwiched on a tram at 10 at night when I work today. Club needs to have a think. I am in danger of loosing my season ticket as I think I am allready on 4/5 games missed! Oh well

When they treat fans like we are doing then there will be empty seats.
Nephew has a flexi-gold and has been to all but one home game this season.
He phoned on Monday cos he'd not had his email for Brighton.
They said he'd missed the deadline.

He explained he'd hadn't and told them when he'd applied.
Woman said she couldn't find a record and charged him £50!!!!!!!!!
Shocking customer service that. Common sense should prevail and the computer should show at the very least it was a supporter oversight, just sell the ticket at the FG price and win a happy customer.

Or do what they did and earn a shit reputation. All for the sake of £10, £15 whatever.

The ticket exchange thing was a total shambles last night.
My mate was waiting off 2 from someone but kept getting an error so rang ticket office and after being on hold for 35 mins they manually did it over the phone in seconds. How many other people had this problem?
My lad wanted to go last night but he hasn't got a membership and I couldn't get a ticket transferred to me as I already have a season ticket.
Imagine if that new stand was open last night ?
Why on earth they don't leave the away section empty if they don't sell out and fill the other seats around the ground 1st?

I've said this a few times but I've tried to get tickets on sooo many occasions but cannot get 2 tickets together.

There's loads of single tickets which is annoying.

I bought hospitality tonight because i wanted to go with my dad but it really is frustrating.
Ticketmaster have got it right.
If you book for a gig at the Co-op Arena, when you select a ticket, you are not allowed to leave one seat on it’s own - if there are 3 seats available and you want 2, it will not let you continue with the purchase.

Not sure that could work for football though with people having season tickets

Ditto.

I just missed the Wolves window on Friday morning and have tried phoning, emails and socials to resolve it with no response.

Why the fuck would you shut the window at 10:30 the day after New Year, unbelievable!

I finally got an email response this morning simply saying I missed the window.

Absolute shambles.

If you try ringing there is usually an automated message saying they are prioritising the next match. You rarely have "a window" to speak about anything else!

I will go as far as saying the Customer service and fan / customer engagement is the worst I have experienced in any area of my life.

They couldn't care less about growing the fanbase and are actively shrinking it, whilst building a huge fucking stand by the way.

If it wasn't my Club i'd be laughing and calling it bullshit which is what everyone else does!

I reckon there will be a few who will not meet the criteria this season some through no fault of their own.

There were two of us last night who couldn't go and neither of us could transfer our tickets. The other lad we go with previously would have taken a mate, son etc but they aren't set up as family / friends so now no way of transferring those tickets. Its a total shambles. The club reap what they sow i'm afraid.

The Parking is the main issue for me.

I’d have gone last night if I could drive and park within a reasonable distance.

As it is it would have been either a 5k walk and parking, 2 taxis and a supporters club coach or for where i live - no option for public transport after the game - not so much or a problem when you have a weekend game and can plan your day around it - for a mid winter night game - no thanks i’ll watch on TV and be in bed for a reasonable time.

Would 100% rather them not have built the co-op or extended the North Stand and kept parking as it was.

And performances like last night will mean lots of empty seats when the extension opens. This will lead to the club having a complete re-think on minimum attendance requirements.
They'll say they listened to fans rather than admitting it was a complete fuck-up in the first place.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned already, I have a family member who now can’t go on Saturday, is there anyway my mate, who isn’t a member, can use it

So if anything shows how ridiculous the current ticketing structure is its this..

i had a spare ticket in the commonwealth suite last night and my mate came with me ... but first he had to go in his entrance on his ticket and then come back out the ground and then came in with me.... so his ticket was used...
absolutely barmy

Agreed. My thoughts in random order are:

1. So what if we don’t sell out every game?
2. Lots of grounds will not have been at capacity for this round of fixtures, so what’s the big deal?
3. The new rules on ticket sharing arrangements from the club haven’t helped.
4. So many games in quick succession straight after Xmas.
5. And for me personally it’s more about the utter lack of well functioning infrastructure in the area. The complaints about trams are on here after every match - and it never gets better and there’s no sign of anything changing at all. Even if you don’t use it you can see the evidence before and after the game with your own eyes when you walk past. On a Saturday I’d generally walk to game but a 7.30 KO makes that tight for people.
6. The ridiculous amount of time it takes to get out of one of the official car parks beyond the Co-op arena.
7. The lack of parking nearby in general.

Log in on your family members account and then download their season ticket on your phone, you can then scan your mate in. Easiest way around ticket transfer

You can download your season ticket on 2 different phones (or a spare phone anyone can use)

I always try to be positive- but, this ticket situation is doin mi ed in ! We had one empty last night, just wanted to give it to a mate, like the old days.

Attendances have fallen off a cliff and it seems the club have their head in the sand over it cause there has been virtually zero interaction with supporters where they are trying to find out what has gone wrong.

There are so many reasons - but ffs City make it look like you are bothered and want to get back to where we used to be.

Surely the board are looking at the new stand every week and wondering wtf they are gonna do to fill it cause there is gonna be 10k empty seats most weeks unless they pull a rabbit out of the hat very quickly.

Think we'll see a oh fuck moment in the summer with the new stand or will the suits still be sitting with their heads in the clouds?

It's an indictment of how shit the system is (probably looked great on paper at the start of the season for someone just figure hugging) that so many literally couldn't give their tickets away for last night....then we have stupid rules for members (paid/none paid) to actually buy tickets unless paying a cup final price via a wonderful third party.

But don't worry if your mate can't let you use his friends ticket for a big game he can always get you in on a rule bend when it's 4/5/6 tickets per SC holder for a really poor game so they should be grateful.

This season is shaping up to be a disaster on/off the field again sadly.
