They've released 3 new windows for Monday, although I certainly wouldn't hold my breath on it reaching the 4pm window.

We got 16k v Oldham for a Sat 3pm game approx 85-88.
And they brought a few.

The only 16k attendance I can find v Oldham in that period was an away game. so yes, they would have a few fans present.

No chance, we never have. Our lowest gate v Oldham during the 80s & 90s was 21,401 whilst the capacity was reduced to 25k due to rebuilding the Kippax.

If it’s the 4-1 defeat early in the 1988-89 season, I think the attendance was around 20,000. Pretty sure that was our lowest attendance for a game at home to Oldham in the 80s.

Edit: Attendance for that game was actually 22,594 so better than I thought

Its just a modern phrase to help older supporters feel morally superior, but in reality, is as laughable as the "United DNA"

Everyone yearning for the good old days when football was cheaper and we could just turn up on the day

The only fly in the ointment is the evidence that all this retrospective view of football utopia is utter bollocks and that City have never had such regularly high attendances as what we're now witnessing

Yes,.60,000 will be a challenge next season, but so was 47,000 in 2003 and the subsequent increase to 54,000

We certainly had early leavers in the late 70s and the Kippax chanting PART TIME SUPPORTERS as the Platt Lane started to drift away.

The old myth about there being no early leavers back in the 1960s and 1970s needs to be challenged. It was much the same back then as it is today.

Old Trafford was the worse place for it. At around 65 minutes into the game, people started to shuffle away ‘to beat the traffic’.

It was never so clear in the days of terraced areas because there were no obvious empty seats in view.

Me too mate. That said I don’t like going to Anfield or Old Trafford. I’m just puzzled how I’ve managed to go backwards in the queue for tickets.

Probably down to how many actually go on sale after they have filtered them off to the so called ticket sites?
