Good work WB, I'll be back from Norway tomorrow and will definitely be joining you on this Newcastle count.

It'll be interesting to see if Galatasaray sales start to pick up, now that it appears there's now jeopardy in this fixture.

We can't even sell out 53,000 on a regular basis, never mind 62,000.

Newcastle is 2 weeks away and there are still circa 12,000 tickets left for sale.(WirralB8 count)

Season ticket holders can buy 4 tickets each for the match.

If the match was this time next season, there would be 20,000 tickets left for sale. Let that sink in muddle brain.

As for Madrid and Barcelona, I couldn't give a fuck about either of them and their attendances.
Mr doom & gloom !!
Fuck me you're like a stuck fucking record, embarassing !!

Tickets available for Champions League game next week against Galatasary.

Level 0: 2,818

Level 1: 2,153

Level 3: 773

Total: 5,744 tickets available (several areas on the planner have been greyed out i.e. CB Level 3 and South Stand Level 3 - so this figure is only a guide).

Because the club still think we're the biggest draw in Europe, with tourists absolutely desperate to come and see us play. They're on a complete different planet to the rest of us.

i make you right, i have never felt more disconnected than i do now, i introduced my kids to season tickets from the age of 5, when the club was on it's arse, now because of the kick off times they sometimes cannot attend, i now fear i will lose them, have no way of passing them on, and if i lose my kids season tickets, they can have the other two we have, i honestly despise those in charge of ticketing at City, they couldn't be more out of touch, more unhelpful and oblivious if they tried.

You're just a fucking club Shill. Not matter what the club has done to inconvenience the fans and drive them away leading to 1000's of empty seats and unsold seats, you've never criticize the club once. Mr fucking City!

You're still peddling your club PR blocks that the stadium will sell out when the capacity is increased to 62,000.

I can't wait to read you lame excuses when it doesn't sell out with 1000's of empty seats next season.

You're fucking deluded, and you always have been.

P.S i never said it would be sold out every game, what i do agree with is it being built.
As for you hoping it fails is a sad inditement on your part...

Embarrassing for who?

As fans we should never be embarrassed about how many fans do/don't attend a game. Frustrated with the club for how difficult they make it for people to buy or transfer a ticket, absolutely. But I've never walked away from the Etihad embarrassed about how many people were/weren't sat around me.

As for the club? They don't give a shit. That much is obvious.
I’m not that arsed when it’s a a few empty seats here or there but generally more people in each block than not. What will be embarrassing is the dogs abuse we’ll get in the mainstream media when there’s entire tiers half full like we’ll probably have vs Newcastle. If this was next season we’d have tiers completely closed for a semi final.

They needed to charge Exeter prices and put it on general sale by now. Newcastle fans aren’t exactly hostile and they are 2-0 down, I wouldn’t expect loads buying in the home end and a few wouldn’t cause an issue. Just don’t sell to people in the north east without a membership

As you know well, not once have I ever said the NS and the Etihad shouldn't be expanded. It should be expanded.

What is important is how City fill the current capacity and the new larger capacity.

With the current and on-going new ticket restrictions, difficulty in transferring tickets, buying tickets, and the continual use of the clubs 9 ticket touting partners, City aren't going to fill the stadium when it's expanded to 62,000. That's City's fault.

I have given the club plenty of credit for the NS expansion, reducing ticket prices after last seasons demonstrations, and making FA Cup tickets affordable for City fans and 'City families".

So your constent nonsense that I always criticize the club is a load of bollocks.

Nobody disagrees with it being built. But the fact is if they don’t come up with a serious new strategy around access and pricing, we’ll be nowhere near selling out for games outside the biggest games.

It's better to face up to the fact that demand for ticketing has fallen significantly. We, and the club, need to work out why. I think it's a whole host of problems.

The pricing for this match is very poor and it shows how much the people making these decisions are out of touch with the fanbase.

Where did he say he hopes it'll fail? And why would he hope it'll fail when he spends hours of his spare time visiting the site of the development, taking photos, and posting updates on the North Stand construction thread? I don't see you doing that.

He's just being realistic as to what it's going to look like for certain games based on current trends. There is, of course, a chance that it doesn't turn out as bad as that but a lot of that will come down to the club and whether they change their current ticketing policies for the better. Hopefully they come good on that.

One of the problems is on the pitch. “Tourists” want success if they don’t get it they move on. Kids want the new shiny toy that was Haaland and Grealishso we need to expose the next up and coming thing. I’ve chatted to a good few parents that don’t like football or support another team and they point to the kid and say “oh. They love Haaland or Grealish”

Interesting note, on his tweet about the the Bodo tickets being refunded, Simon Bajkowski from the MEN states they are covering the cost of 374 tickets, which is 30 less than the 404 we were allocated from memory?

All for Haaland's family/friends?

Mainly the rigmarole of getting tickets and the fact that the game has peaked in popularity are the most obvious. Growing a local base is just down to persistent success over decades in the hope you win over youngsters not blighted by raggy relatives. The tourist market is more realistic to grow quickly but they don’t do much for the atmosphere and makes the “product” worse meaning fewer locals so it’s self-defeating. That said 1 tourist probably = 3 regulars in terms of income so attendance bad, income ok.

Saying 61.000 is too big, it will be for some games, it won't be for others, so what do we do ? Stay as we are, stop continue growing ?
Our owners are looking at the next 20/30 years, not the next 12 months.
There’s an argument to be made for staying as we are, yes. Not everything has to be a relentless pursuit of growth and profit. Who is filling those extra seats? Are they proper supporters? Can they improve what is - let’s be honest - a dying home atmosphere? Or are they just another body to drive revenue?
