Might sell more now we have the insurance of the players refunding us should the performance not be up to our standards.
BFWAs you know well, not once have I ever said the NS and the Etihad shouldn't be expanded. It should be expanded.
What is important is how City fill the current capacity and the new larger capacity.
With the current and on-going new ticket restrictions, difficulty in transferring tickets, buying tickets, and the continual use of the clubs 9 ticket touting partners, City aren't going to fill the stadium when it's expanded to 62,000. That's City's fault.
I have given the club plenty of credit for the NS expansion, reducing ticket prices after last seasons demonstrations, and making FA Cup tickets affordable for City fans and 'City families".
So your constent nonsense that I always criticize the club is a load of bollocks.
Hate to break it to you but, even if we do beat Galatasary, we will very likely be facing the CL play-offs.If we don't beat Galatasaray then we could be facing the CL play offs and our 9th home cup match, with possibly more to come, depending on the outcome, and also progress in the FA Cup.
Good luck with the marketing for that one
I’m not that arsed when it’s a a few empty seats here or there but generally more people in each block than not. What will be embarrassing is the dogs abuse we’ll get in the mainstream media when there’s entire tiers half full like we’ll probably have vs Newcastle. If this was next season we’d have tiers completely closed for a semi final.
They needed to charge Exeter prices and put it on general sale by now. Newcastle fans aren’t exactly hostile and they are 2-0 down, I wouldn’t expect loads buying in the home end and a few wouldn’t cause an issue. Just don’t sell to people in the north east without a membership

I wouldn't say that. I think a win will be enough. Let's see how tonight's games go.Hate to break it to you but, even if we do beat Galatasary, we will very likely be facing the CL play-offs.
You're obviously more confident than me when it comes to football predictions, but then again, I'm not even confident that we'll beat GalatasarayHate to break it to you but, even if we do beat Galatasary, we will very likely be facing the CL play-offs.
If we draw or lose to Galatasaray then n it’s the play off. If we win we are on 16 points and a goal difference of at least 5. The teams who could finish above us are-I wouldn't say that. I think a win will be enough. Let's see how tonight's games go.
Some idiots will still take the piss and im not bothered by them, but if we have entire empty tiers it will be more newsworthy and the PR will be terrible. I respect people that aren’t bothered by that but it will annoy me.We get abuse regardless of how many tickets we sell.
Full house -emptyhad
90% full - emptyhad
70% full - emptyhad
Makes no odds. The media have won on that one.
I’d prefer cheaper tickets, particularly for families and kids but the club no doubt look at it like this.
54000 at £10 average - £540,000
44000 at £25 average - £1.1m
They then use FA cup for the token goodwill games. No doubt be back to £10 or £15 for that and full house with a bit of a good publicity- still be Emptyhad though as some people won’t go if only losing a tenner and the jibes start again! Can’t win.
After the play off last year, that will be a hard sell. I hated that Madrid experience surrounded by tourists supporting Madrid. Horrible and not been a CL game since.
They’re 1-0 down already!!If we draw or lose to Galatasaray then n it’s the play off. If we win we are on 16 points and a goal difference of at least 5. The teams who could finish above us are-
Arsenal - guaranteed to be above us
Real - need a point to be above us, last game away at Benfica
Bayern - need a point to be above us, home to Union SG and away to PSV
Spurs - would need to win last game away to Frankfurt
PSG - would need 3 points from home to Newcastle
Sporting - would need 3 points from away to Athletic Club and are on the same GD as us
Atalanta - would need 4 points from home to Athletic Club and away to Union SG
Inter couldn’t catch us
Athletico - would need 5 points (maybe 4) from away to Galatasaray and home to fucking Bodo
Liverpool would need to win (maybe a win and a draw but 3 worse GD than us) v Marseille’s away and home to Carrier bag
Dortmund couldn’t catch us
Newcastle would need to beat both PSV home and PSG away
Chelsea would have to beat both Paphos at home and Napoli away
Barcelona would have to beat both Slavia Prague away and Copenhagen at home and GD currently one worse than us
Nobody else could catch us
So Arsenal, Real and Bayern will or are likely to finish above us BUT a Real draw at Benfica will do us
Spurs above us with a win in Frankfurt
Only one of Newcastle and PSG would finish above us, maybe neither - neither if they draw
Sporting - it’s in our hands with GD on the night
Atalanta have 2 winnable games and win both and they are above us
If dippers win both they are above us, likewise Chelsea
Barcelona are above us if they win 2 gsmes
So I would say that Arsenal, Real, Bayern, PSG will finish above us (4)
Spurs probably above us (1)
Barcelona probably above us (1)
Chelsea, Liverpool and Atalanta could finish above us (3)
Sporting is in the balance (1)
If we win and everything goes against us that would be 10th or 11th.
Reckon we are looking for bad results from Spurs, Atalanta, Real, Barce, dippers, Sporting and chelsea and are on balance looking at the play offs unless 3 of these 7 drop points
Cmon Galatasaray (tonight)
Maybe mate, but aren’t most clubs suffering the same at the moment? Pure speculation on my part cos I haven’t looked at the stats for every other club for their home league, league cup, FA Cup and Euro attendances either relative to their stadium capacity or in absolute terms, but that’s the sense I get glancing at the tv now and again. It's better to face up to the fact that demand for ticketing has fallen significantly. We, and the club, need to work out why. I think it's a whole host of problems.
Athletico drew at Galatasaray, in our hands as regards Athletico as our GD is 1 better but they are at home to Bodo (never underestimate Bodo!)If we draw or lose to Galatasaray then n it’s the play off. This is true but a lot of clubs have a stadium that is too small for them, especially the bigger clubs. United had tickets on general sale for Bournemouth and Newcastle this season, still being sold on the day of the game. However they were less than a hundred in the end and you couldn’t see it from watching the games as it was so few.Maybe mate, but aren’t most clubs suffering the same at the moment? If so, we should still be concerned but maybe shouldn’t best ourselves up too much.
Like you say, it’s not down to just one thing.
Yep, optics mate, in more ways than one. This is true but a lot of clubs have a stadium that is too small for them, especially the bigger clubs. United had tickets on general sale for Bournemouth and Newcastle this season, still being sold on the day of the game. However they were less than a hundred in the end and you couldn’t see it from watching the games as it was so few.
Spurs aren’t selling out regularly but they sell their bottom tier out completely and the dark seats towards the top of the top tiers are hard to spot. They had 15,000 empty seats last night but you couldn’t tell watching them.
With ours they seem to be obvious rows of bright blue seats on the bottom tier in plain sight.
I’ll come back and admit I was wrong if I am, but I’m gonna go balls out and say they’re never shifting those in any sort of numbers. The club are delusional.
People are skint, attending matches are low priorityToo many home games in quick succession, people can’t afford it
Nonsense thatThere’s an argument to be made for staying as we are, yes. Not everything has to be a relentless pursuit of growth and profit. Who is filling those extra seats? Are they proper supporters? Can they improve what is - let’s be honest - a dying home atmosphere? Or are they just another body to drive revenue?
