Seat Counters 25/26

Looks like level 3 off sale for Newcastle now so they can fill the lower tiers.

The club are selling £30 tickets for Fulham in the returned seats in SS3 - there are 918 left! If the club aren’t worried about that then they should be. Clearly it’s not just a pricing matter. It’s disengagement and silly rules that have turned occasional fans away.

They should be really worried about it, however those prices for Salford have basically just confirmed that they're either not aware or not bothered. I don't know which of these would be more worrying to me.

They must just be hoping that things improve on the field

Last time I looked there aren’t restrictions on the various ticketing websites you can buy tickets from. The hospitality sections are often full of away fans as well- when we play against a team with a larger fanbase.

There’s has been plenty of times when there has been ticket restrictions in place and there’s away fans not in their section

Nearly ever match going fan on this forum will have been in the away end at a ground on one or more occasions.

And the Liverpool one first half. In fact quite a few of the biggest ones. But these group games are always awful. I hate foreign chanting and I hate the way it drowns out our fans.

I agree we will be up against it tomorrow night. Hopefully we get a few songs going around the ground. The group stages are always tougher like you say.

I think everyone is over estimating how many Galatasary fans will be in the home end. City have restricted ticket sales, so you had to be a member before the draw for the group phase, so unless there’s a mystic Galatasary fan with a crystal ball, I can’t see there being much trouble with fans in home sections.

Restricted when bought direct from the club, but still on sale with 3rd party sellers

Plenty of tickets on live football tickets and seat picks etc.
City can have all the restrictions they want but the turks will find a way in the ground.
All 3 top tiers have been off sale for most of the past week. Be lucky if there's 45k inside the ground

There will be loads of them in the home ends tomorrow, where there's a will there's a way.

I'm certain many of us have been in home ends down the years it would have just taken us a bit of ducking and diving meeting touts down dark alleys whereas with our shitshow of a ticket office the Galatasaray fans will have just had to sign up to one of our billion 'ticket partner' websites and bought a ticket through there.

I'm not taking my daughter tomorrow night purely because were right next to the away fans in the third tier so i assume a number of their fans will gather (or try to) as close to the away end as they can, 21 year old Gaz is coming though as my muscle, looking forward to one of these shite group games with a bit of something riding on it

Of course. It’s fairly normal to have some away fans in the home end, but not to the extent that happened against say Celtic. Groups of away fans openly celebrating, singing and goading the home fans - unless you think that’s normal?

we best get ready to boot them out then if they score

All sorts of issues but judging from some of the posts, the common themes can appear quite contradictory

We've turned our back on the hardcore support, but many of the older supporters cite transport hassle as the main reason for non attendance

The tickets are too expensive apart from when we played Exeter and they were so cheap that some of the cup scheme members just took the hit and couldn't be arsed attending

We've alienated the next generation of fans, whilst also struggling to fill the ground for evening matches, because so many Seasoncard holders are young families and have other priorities

Too many tourists and casual supporters, but thousands of unsold tickets when their access is restricted

Amazing that despite all this negativity the average attendance has virtually doubled in the last 25 years
