Seat Counters 25/26

158 tickets sold since 3pm yesterday afternoon.
Tickets remaining for League Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg v Newcastle. 7 days to go until the game and selling about a couple of hundred tickets a day. Likely about 10k empty seats for it - attendance of about 43k as Newcastle will have sold out their 5,359 allocation

Level 0: 4,204

Level 1: 3,388

Level 3: estimated 4,245 as Level 3 is now greyed out since Monday afternoon.

Total: 11,837 tickets left
When we beat Gala and Spurs there will be a surge in sales. This semi is a big game. We need the momentum for the run-in. Personally I can’t wait for this match. It was epic in the first leg.

Many reasons tonights attendance will be down

- Its January and people are skint, allied to the prices of membership/ticket buying
- The Hoops City make people jump through just to buy or even transfer a ticket
- Apathy - People are bored by the group stage of the CL
- Midweek game and parking/travelling to and from the Etihad can often be a pain in the arse
- The club has pissed off large sections of the legacy supporters by treating them the way they have over the past few years

Along with the ground not being full next Weds vs Newcastle either, youd think/hope it will wake some people up at the club but I doubt it. Games like tonight and next Weds in midweek arent the sort that the tourists can make, so the club are thus relying on the more local fanbase than theyve done everything to piss off in recent times. The result will be a gate of about 42k tops this evening
People are absolutely skint this time of year, prices definitely need to come down, the sales for the Newcastle game for a semi final are poor, but hopefully the club will react with cheaper tickets going forward.

Suddenly the tourists have vanished have they? Very convenient. Perhaps they were never there or were just local fans from different communities that some ignorant blues thought were aliens.

Agree about the club fucking off thousands of legacy fans over the years

I would add the reputational damage done by PL UEFA and the media. Every **** believes we are cheats (a lot do anyway) and this lot is cunts has made out product very distasteful and must have put thousands off becoming Blues. The club not issuing new season tickets is the most disgraceful reason, stupid cunts

Here you go again with the agenda insinuating racism and xenophobia when it isn't there. Every fucking time someone mentions tourists you come out with this shit.

I do because it's a nonsense argument that involves race whether you like it or not. In the midweek out of towners don't go, and local Mancs go. These get labelled as tourists.

Agree. I don't consider the race, colour, sex etc of the person to relate to whether they are a tourist. I usually go off the half and half scarf, the taking selfies on the stairs (or videoing the whole game until told to stop by a steward), the videoing of an opposition corner in front of us or zooming in to get a photo of Salah or whoever.

Well that's bollocks because i have been surrounded at many mid week games by tourists in their 50/50 scarfs wandering around ticket in hand no idea where they are going , and yes I have taken the time to talk to them most recently a Brazilian over with his wife for his first UK game and a bunch of river plate fans over from Argentina. If anything as a match going fan this is more prevalent for mid week games than the standard Saturday 3pm kick off, and no i don't just assume someone is a tourist based on skin colour as you regularly incorrectly accuse most people of doing .

CL scheme members will be in the 3rd tiers but City will be trying to fill the lower tiers. If there are hundreds of empty seats in the 2nd tier, there will be more in the 3rd tier.

Sad times. This is not a one off.
I know mate, im one of the CL scheme members in SS3.

Your last sentence is bang on the money

The writings been on the wall for a while now, yet the club keep pushing forward with overpriced tickets

Marvin there were two brown blokes on my row on Saturday.

One bloke:
- Had a city scarf on
- Joined in with songs
- Had a manc accent
- Was delighted when we scored

The other bloke:
- Had a half and half scarf on
- Couldn't speak English
- Didn't seem remotely interested when we scored
- Filmed the whole game

Despite your agenda, this has got absolutely nothing to do with race, people aren't as ignorant as you seem to think.

Interesting that you've ignored my "ticket restrictions that have prevented neutrals, tourists and casual supporters from attending, and despite all the criticism from some posters, we need them"

Instead you've seen things that aren't there, and insinuated that this forum is full of racists.

I'm not sure why the club didn't price the Newcastle semi the same as Newcastle priced it for the first leg. Namely £20 adults/£10 kids all over the stadium, with a discount on those prices for those on the cup scheme. Instead, only a small percentage of seats are priced at £20/£10 and even then it's only for those on the cup scheme in those specific areas.

The Salford FA Cup game is equally bizarre, if not more so, with regards pricing. Why not keep the prices the same as the previous round v Exeter?

Think we'll post our biggest CL attendance of the year tonight tbh.

49,500 at Napoli; 50,500 at Dortmund; 50,500 at Leverkusen.

Depending on how many the club have held back, we could top 51,000 imo.
No it won't be. Level 3 were greyed out a while ago. Probably about early 40k there tonight

Let's also not forget that the new CL format has diluted the jeopardy and given us an extra home game (possibly 2) alongside the "bonus" of a Carabao Cup Semi 2nd Leg, plus Salford in the FA Cup

United's cup matches are already done and dusted and yet they still have tickets available for their home match v Fulham on Sunday
If you fancy £129 for a padded seat you don't even need to be a member

Not really

We normally sell around 52,000 tickets for the PL games, but sometimes it looks far less, mainly due to Seasoncard holders (presumably young families or elderly supporters) swerving the early kick offs and midweek fixtures.
It's all been said before, but post match transport is a huge factor, particularly for evening games, and it will be worse next season.

Different story for the CL in general and specifically this fixture, whereby the ticket restrictions have prevented neutrals, tourists and casual supporters from attending, and regardless of what some posters think, we need these people

Also, don't forget that we got 50,000+ for the Leverkusen game, and Pep rewarded our enthusiasm with 10 changes and a ridiculously lightweight selection that the other English teams would never have contemplated
Not really? Empty stadium.

Tickets remaining for FA Cup 4th Round v Salford. Salford have 5,236 allocation - all of South Stand Level 3.

Level 0: 4,371

Level 1: 4,208

Level 3: 4,472

Total: 13,051 tickets left

This is just me being conspiratorial, but I'm beginning to wonder if City are looking at match revenue and thinking that the turnover for 40,000 paying £25 for a semi final 2nd leg, (plus prize money and TV money) will be more than double the turnover for 50,000 paying £10 for an FA.Cup tie v Exeter, especially as the visitors would receive a large share for the latter
