Seat Counters 25/26

One of the biggest issues is the ridiculous parking restrictions around the ground. It's put me off night matches. I refuse to use the excuse of a public transport system that masquerades as the tram too. The club needs to enage the council and lift lots of the unecesssary restrictions ie those along and the back of Ashton New Road / Clayton Lane where there is nothing except unused land from cleared industrial sites.

City fans have become apathetic for a multitude of reasons all listed in this thread.
You could genuinely have tickets for £10 tonight and people wouldn't attend.
I am not sure how the club can get these people back especially for midweek games my idea would be offering cup scheme to citizens members
One crazy idea of getting the fans back would be to do a long campaign of cheap and fair ticketing, like Bradford have done. Crazy I know.

This is such an easy way to reengage your core fanbase, however the club can't see past a quick couple of quid

I'm not sure why the club didn't price the Newcastle semi the same as Newcastle priced it for the first leg. Namely £20 adults/£10 kids all over the stadium, with a discount on those prices for those on the cup scheme. Instead, only a small percentage of seats are priced at £20/£10 and even then it's only for those on the cup scheme in those specific areas.

The Salford FA Cup game is equally bizarre, if not more so, with regards pricing. Why not keep the prices the same as the previous round v Exeter?
Absolutely no longer term strategy whatsoever

Here you go again with the agenda insinuating racism and xenophobia when it isn't there. Every fucking time someone mentions tourists you come out with this shit.
I think Marvin has a point though. Some of our fans dismiss anyone who doesn't fit the stereotypical old school City fan. When we do cheap tickets we get lots of local fans, especially midweek, from the inner city areas of East Manchester. The city is very diverse these days. I know for a fact we have huge support in the Chinese and Polish communities. You only really see the wealthy "tourists" at the glamour games. City's fanbase refelcts the demographic of Manchester. I welcome all these new supporters. In fact we need to keep prices down and welcome all of them.

The parking is a disgrace and the club should put pressure on the council to sort it out. All those industrial areas fans used to be able to use are deserted at night and weekends. There is no reason for any of them to be in the residents' zone. They need proper taxi ranks and bus lanes and a shuttle from Ashburys station with extra trains put on. Burnham has been shite on this issue and has not helped the club at all.

Marvin ALWAYS attributes the word tourist to people's ethnicity. A tourist, to me, is a casual fan who doesn't really support us but will come to the matches. Often seen wearing a half an half scarf with a carrier bag from the club shop. I've yet to see someone who has slagged off tourists based on the colour of their skin or where they come from

Nobody has any issue with those people you describe and they are not the people being referred to as tourists. its the half and half scarf, no idea where i am going , taking picture's of the away fans and players brigade who get referred to as tourists and its everybody of every colour that gets classed as that if they behave in that way.
